After a web search, I reverted your edits. Please keep your edits limited to published sources, as all home campaigns differ. If your edits were from Living Greyhawk sources, such information should be in a separate section, "Rovers of the Barrens in Living Greyhawk." Hi, Robb. Actually, I didn't know the rule about the "home campaigns" thingy. In our home campaign, my character (Culann) is a Rover of the Barrens, and my DM and I designed a prestige class called "War Dog" (of which Culann happens to be the chief). We've fleshed out the whole Rovers' society, including naming all of the clans and tribes within them, and all of the leadership positions - chiefs, war chiefs, high priests, etc). Rather than the semi-Native American flavor given it by the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, we've changed it to a much more Celtic flavor (which, given your interest in Celtic history, I'd be happy to share, if you'd like.). I sincerely apologize for any confusion or resentment I've caused on the Greyhawk Wiki. I wasn't entirely aware of all the writing rules, and I'll refrain from editing from this point forward unless I have a published source. I was just pumped from winning the leadership of my character's people and whomping Dragotha, and I kind of...took the liberty of editing, I guess. A bit about myself: I've been playing D&D since 1982, mostly in Greyhawk. I also have a BA in English from the University of North Dakota, with a double minor in history (with a focus on Celts, as a matter of fact...) and anthropology (with a focus on bones and stones). I noticed that you and I seem to have quite a bit in common. If you'd ever like to chat, I'd be more than obliging.--BigPapaC

The thing is, Wikipedia has to be accessible to everyone. If you and your fellow members of your D&D group are the only ones who are aware of events in your campaign, then all the other Greyhawk fans out out there have no point of reference. Someone else may then decide to change the entry to reflect events in their own campaign, in which the Rovers were totally wiped out by an invasion of fiendish flumphs. Sound silly? Yeah, but they may feel it's just as worthy of inclusion. Therefore, in order to prevent useless edit-warring over whose personal campaign is most definitive, we stick to official published sources.--Robbstrd 20:04, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Totally understand. I honestly didn't realize the depth and scope of the Greyhawk Wiki - I wasn't even aware that people kept up with it as religiously as they do. Now I know., no harm done, press on with pride and motivation. By the way...
