"Big Gun" is a song/single by AC/DC. This song is found on their rare single with the same name. It is also found on the soundtrack to the movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Last Action Hero. It was #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1993.
[edit] Music video
The music video, directed by David Mallet[1], begins with Schwarzenegger breaking an entrance door to an AC/DC concert. As he walks around the crowd and the stage, observing each band member, Angus kicks his cap towards him. When Schwarzenegger puts on the cap, his clothes morph into Angus' trademark school uniform costume and signature Gibson SG. He then starts imitating Angus' on-stage antics throughout the video. The video also features a young Shavo Odadjian, the future bassist for the Armenian-American alternative metal band System of a Down.
This song was said to be rare, but since its worldwide release on the Last Action Hero soundtrack, it was no longer considered a rarity. The song can now be found on iTunes with the rest of the soundtrack, making it the only song by AC/DC on iTunes.

[edit] Trivia
- This song was the last song to feature then-drummer Chris Slade, before being asked to leave AC/DC a year later so that Phil Rudd could return to the band.
- A similar, uncredited MIDI version appeared in the 1993 computer game Doom on Episode 2, Map 1.[2] A collection of unreleased MIDI files created by Robert Prince during the development of Doom, released by John Romero, includes a more faithful rendition of the song.[3]
- Featured in the end credits of a fan-made film named Escape Big Trouble in New Jersey. This half-hour fan film is a spoof of John Carpenter's Escape from New York and Big Trouble in Little China films, both of which star Kurt Russell. It features actors Mar Omega as Snake Plissken and Airon Armstrong (who also produced) as Jack Burton. It is currently featured in YouTube.
- During reruns of the Savage Nation talk show, this song is used as bumper music.
- Beneath its hard metal sound, the song is based on a rather mid-tempo 12-bar blues pattern in the key of E.
