[edit] Synopsis
Lara's parents are deaf and she interprets for them when they interact with the hearing world, like going to the bank or to meetings in school.
On Christmas day, her aunt Clarissa, keen to music, gives her a clarinet and Lara begins to discover the world of music, which is completely unknown for her parents. She becomes a talented clarinetist and when she is 18 years old, she wants to enroll Berlin's conservatory. Her desire to attend the conservatory conflicts with her father’s dependence and his grief after his wife's death in an accident.
