Bethpage Union Free School District

The Bethpage Union Free School District (BUFSD) in Bethpage, New York contains 5 schools. They are the three elementary schools Charles Campagne, Kramer Lane, and Central Boulevard. The Middle School is John F. Kennedy Middle School and the high school is Bethpage High School.

The District offers a state-of-the-art technology program, with a projector and computer in almost every classroom, many computer labs, and other technology implements. There are over 3,000 students in the district, 280+ teachers and other staff. The Bethpage Board of Education currently has 7 members including Michael Kelly, Thomas Frost, Joel Dauman, Anna Israelton, Sandra Watson, Kurt Spears, and Hugh Walker.

The high school was completed in 1959. JFK Middle School, which was completed in the early 1950s, at one time or another has housed every grade (from K to 12). Presently it has grades from 6 to 8. Charles Campagne Elementary was completed in 1962.[1]

The boundaries of the school district include parts of some surrounding hamlets (such as Old Bethpage and Plainedge).
