[edit] Deletion?

  • Vote to keep. Gunther Berkus is well-known in Ireland for his artistic and multimedia work. I can easily grow the article substantially if needs be. He created the multimedia installation in the new Civic Building in Dun Laoghaire. He's also an accomplished electronic musician and was involved with some of the musical pioneers in Dusseldorf in the 1970s. Berkus is also one of the pioneers of the artistic use of Bryce and MojoWorld and has an international reputation in those fields. He was also one of the internet pioneers here in Ireland, running Synergy Media Labs on-line back in 1996 [1]. He was also one of the people who started up the Cork-Eye publication in Cork City (now defunct). Disclaimer: yes, he happens to be a personal friend, I must admit. But there *is* a bigger picture. - Pete C 22:27, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Vote To Keep

I was under the impression that one of the main functions of Wikipedia's existence is to promote and inform of distinct and unique contributions . In this case I believe Mr. Berkus is certainly one of the most unique individuals I have ever encountered. For that reason alone I believe his entry is justified in addition to which his predictions of the future direction of electronic media in the mid 90s seem now nothing less than visionary .
