[edit] What NOT to include
Hello editors!
Before you make substantial edits to this article, I would like to suggest stopping over to WP:SCH, which is the home for Wikiprojects:Schools.
Look at the section: Wikischools: What Not To Include, which outlines what not to include in school related articles. Highlighting:
1. Do not list students and staff, unless they are notable for doing something other than being a student/teacher at the school. This includes coaches and band directors. It also includes the members of the student council, and the captains of the sports teams
2. Do not include "weekly event updates", like the next football game or the upcoming cheerleading competition, or the time for the school pay next week.. It is not considered encyclopedic. Also, unless a team places well at the state or national level, they probably don't need to be mentioned.
3. If you make substantial changes, consider having this article assessed by either the folks at WikiProject Schools, or at Wikipedia:WikiProject Georgia. They can be reached by the big links at the top of this Talk Page. People associated with the project will assess the article, and will give suggestions for improvement. This may help more specifically guide editors as to what needs to be added and what needs to be removed.
4. Finally: Cite, cite, cite. Make sure that everything is referenced from legitimate, independent, third party sources (not the school website!). Make sure to use internal references within the article. I will see about adding a reference section to help with this. Check out other articles to see how this is done.
I don't want to come across as a know it all ... I am passing along some advice based on experience with other articles. If you are wondering why certain things keep getting deleted, you might want to check this section to see why. Best of luck! LonelyBeacon (talk) 15:36, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
