Set up as BBC Vision Studios to commission the in-house production of BBC television programmes, the department on the fourth floor of BBC Television Centre, changed its name to BBC Vision Productions in October 2007. [1] BBC Vision launched in November 2006.[2] after being announced by Mark Thompson in July 2006[3] when he said "It's about how we can make the BBC the most creative organisation in the world, delivering content that our audiences will simply love".
