BBC South West is the BBC English Region producing local television, radio, web and teletext content for Devon, Cornwall and the Channel Islands.
Its television service transmitted on BBC One includes the two separate weekday (once only on Saturday and Sunday) Spotlight news programmes for Devon, Cornwall, parts of Somerset and Dorset and for the Channel Islands, the half hourly news headlines, weather & travel reports during BBC Breakfast morning news broadcast, the weekly regional magazine programme Inside Out and the weekly Politics Show.
The region is the controlling centre for BBC Radio Devon, BBC Radio Cornwall, BBC Radio Jersey and BBC Radio Guernsey, as well as producing the regional news pages on Ceefax and the news sections of the local Where I Live sites.
The regional headquarters and television centre is at Broadcasting House in Plymouth, with offices and television studios also in St Helier and Exeter.
