Battle of Chamb and Dogra

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 Pakistani infantry supported by M48 Patton tanks advanced towards Indian-held Chhamb. They succeeded in destroying an entire squadron of Indian AMX-13 tanks and capturing several 25-pounder field guns, one of which was promptly nicknamed "Chhamb Di Rani" (The Queen of Chhamb), which was used in the campaign against its original owners. "Chhamb Di Rani" currently occupies a place of pride in the Pakistan Artillery's Regimental Center.
