Does anyone know if the basal optic nucleus of Meynert is the same as the basal nucleus of Meynert? I've only heard the latter term, not the former, but there's only an article on the former, to which someone added mention of the latter (if you follow all that). I'll assume they are the same for now (if it turns out they are not, there's a link here from Hippocampus that should point to whichever one contains cholinergic projection cells).
