Possibly the deleted version was an accidental creation where it had no content. Also if you want a redirect to Belém that'd be okay. However I'm pretty certain towns of a 100,000 are not considered "non-notable."--T. Anthony (talk) 00:25, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Barcarena, Brazil, is indeed notable

Barcarena has the largest alumina and aluminum refinery in Brazil, as well as a huge terminal for exporting caolite. It has already shown the potential for ecological disaster, with two separate breaching of caolite filled lakes. The holding tanks for bauxite residues are no better protected, near the river, and highly acid. --Wloveral (talk) 17:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
