Background

Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry hails from a highly influential and distingusished political family of Azad Kashmir. Barrister Sultan Mehmood is the son of Prominent Kashmiri Leader Chaudhry Noor Hussain. Barrister Sultan Mehmood was born in Mirpur and was educated in the United Kingdom gaining a Baret in Law from London.

The family have a long history of playing an active role in trying to bring the kashmir issue in to the limelight by continiously raising the issue on an international level in countries such as the United Kingdom, United States and beyond. Barrister Sultan Mehmood made history in 1996 by becoming Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir, becoming the first Prime Minister hailing from the Mirpur region.
