[edit] Engine Details

I'm following a lead on a rumour regarding the development of the engine. Has anyone heard anything at all regarding Blue Sky? I'm trying to follow that lead, if you could help that'd be great. - Spence.

[edit] Changed main characters to confirmed characters

Jolly isnt really a "main" character, but since he has been confirmed it just makes more sense to change the title. --Dallin Tanjo22 02:52, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

I agree, 'Confirmed Characters' is more appropriate. Stickeylabel 12:09, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

tooty and brentilda should appear too... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.209.195.148 (talk) 20:16, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Needs to be longer

This article needs to be a little bigger. I for one, think that's a fact. Also, when exactly will Banjo-Threeie come out,and what is it about? (I mean, what is the main purpose, I mean,I played the last 2 versions of it [Banjo-Kazooie1/2].)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Conker The Squirrel (talkcontribs) .

First off, please sign your comments and keep them in the correct form for the talk page. Second, while your questions are valid, there is a problem with them. The game was only announced three days ago and, with the announcement, a teaser trailer. Therefore, we have very limited information and cannot make the article any longer than it is, otherwise we risk adding repetition and nonsense. We do not know when the game will come out, we do not know what it will be about, we basically don't know anything yet. Until more information and pictures/videos of gameplay become available, the article should basically remain as is. --pIrish 19:53, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Conker, there is more than 2 banjo kazooie games. Technically there is 6. The 2 n64 games, the 2 gba games, the cell phone game, and bk3. Ive played and beaten them all. My life revolves around this series (literally). --Dallin Tanjo22 22:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

There are two primary titles in the series, not six (three primary titles if you include BK3). The other games are only spin-offs of the first one. And I highly doubt you've played and beaten them all. Afterall, BK3 still doesn't even have a release date. ;-) --pIrish 13:39, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Ive beaten all FIVE then. Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge is not a spin of. It is an interqual. It takes place between kazooie and tooie. Therefore there are 4 primary games and 2 spin offs. --Dallin Tanjo22 19:19, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

You seem to be treating this as a message board, which is against policy. This page is for discussing changes in the article, not discussion of the games, themeselves. My message was to correct you, not to converse with you. However, I will reply once more. Grunty's Revenge, while it comes between the two games, does not mean it was a primary game. The game had very little advertising, it was a scaled back version of the other games, and it had a subpar storyline. Just because it strings the other games together, doesn't mean it is of the same quality and is given the same credit as the other two.
The first two games had heavy advertising, tons of work went into them, overall play time far exceeds the middle game, and the series is built around them. The series is not built around Grunty's Revenge. Also, the first two flow together; you don't need the middle game for the primary games to make sense. However, you do need at least the first game to make GR make any sense at all. In other words, the series wouldn't lose anything without GR, and it doesn't gain anything with it. This makes the game relatively useless to the series. Grunty's Revenge was nothing more than a spin-off to make money. --pIrish 21:12, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Fine, if you dont want to discuss it here i would be more than happy to do it at the Rare Witch Project forums.--Dallin Tanjo22 16:23, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Relesed Date

Hey,I gotta useful tip.Banjo-Threeie (From what I've heard) is supposed to come out in March 26,2007.Or maybe not,I might be wrong. But I'm pretty sure I's going to be in the "Next Year" timeline.--Conker The Squirrel 20:49, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for signing your message this time. As for what the message contained, you're wrong. There has been no release date announced. Why? Because they've only just started working on the game. Also, please do not add this information into the article. This is considered a rumor and it has no business being in the article. Wait until Rare or Microsoft releases this information before adding it. --pIrish 23:07, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh,I got it.Conker The Squirrel 17:14, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I think i have some idea of the realese date but im not 100% sure because I saw something in the forums at the xbox 360 site and someone asked about the realese date he said that he could not say anything but it will be a good aniversery prestent (hint the very first game came out on May 31 1998 it will probably be realesed for the 10th anniversary of banjo kazooie) so i guess until then we will all have to play the first two games over and over —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acdcfanactic727 (talkcontribs) 14:53, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Thats a really good idea I forgot about the (anniversary present in stop and swap)mabie they said 3rd or fourth quarter incase of delays(rare has been known) it would be a great suprise if they released it in may 67.130.239.55 (talk) 23:05, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[some kid]

[edit] Title?

In the trailer it says Banjo is Back and it is closer to a title than Banjo Kazooie 3 because it has a logo and everything, I think the title of this page should be changed to Banjo is Back with Banjo Kazooie 3 being a redirect to here. Guess who i am 09:30, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Absolutely not. The most likely title for the third game is Banjo Threeie as it follows the idea set by Banjo Tooie by naming the next game what Grunty said at the end of the previous game. The reason Banjo-Kazooie 3 is the current title to the article is that all major gaming sites have this listed as the tentative title to the third game. The line, Banjo is Back, was meant to tell you, the viewer, that Banjo is coming back to the gaming world, not that it is the title. They put a copywrite on it so no one else could use the catch-phrase. If you go to Rareware's webpage and look it up, they explicitly state that they are not telling us the name of the game yet and that this information would come out in due course. Until then, the page should remain as is. --pIrish 17:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
"Banjo is Back" was only a reminder, telling you he's back.Got it?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Conker The Squirrel (talkcontribs) .
I do get that I'm just saying it's the closest thing to a tenative title at the moment and pirish no need to get so huffy Guess who i am 02:19, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
I didn't get huffy. The only thing in my statement that may be considered remotely "huffy" was "Absolutely not." and, even then, it wasn't really huffy, it was letting you know exactly where I stood before I even started explaining. And, like I said before, well, just read the last reply. Unless this becomes the actual title for the game, it's all speculation, which, isn't allowed on Wikipedia as it's rumor and original research. This tentative title is "safe" as it isn't rumored and it can't be taken as original research. It's just informing you about the third Banjo-Kazooie game (hence: Banjo-Kazooie 3); nothing more, nothing less.--pIrish 12:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I've actually heard it once or twice, but no more than that. I doubt it would be the title of the game, but it would make for an interesting title if it were. --pIrish 19:53, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I, for one, would prefer Banjo Kazoothree. Pity it's about as likely to happen as it is for a release date to come out any time in the near future ;) 129.21.240.72 17:06, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

I really hope they decide to name it Banjo Threeie. I loved the first two games. Maybe if you want to put in some rumors and talk, you can put under a new section of rumors or something. PIrish makes a good point too. The title hopefully will follow the traditional naming process of the Banjo Kazooie series. :D --Relyk 22:43, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

The problem with rumors is that it's all original research and wikipedia has a strict policy on no original research. That's why everything has to be verifiable on these articles. While I think the title will most likely be Banjo Threeie, I can't put it in the article because I came to that conclusion on my own, in other words, I was not told by Rare or Microsoft that it would be the title. It has to come from a reliable source and, if it doesn't, it can't be included. Therefore, we cannot have a rumor section for this reason. --pIrish 13:43, 27 October 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Playable Characters

Sorry to disturb, but I just want to know if Grunty will be a playable character,or a main villan(AGAIN).I'm pretty sure she's going to be a villan, rather than a playable character...After all,she did say in the end of Banjo-Tooie(Which I'am playing right now)"Just you wait until Banjo-Threeie!".I'm not complaining, infact,it's about time the game will come out.If I'm asking too much, and that the information has yet to be comfirlmed,my bad.I'm just so ancstious to get it for my 360,IT HURTS.Conker The Squirrel 16:37, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm anxious for the game too, don't worry. I've been watching for more information like a hawk. For now, all we really have to go off of is the trailer, which really doesn't show us a lot. Just hold tight, new information will likely come out soon. ;-) --pIrish 17:41, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I'v been watching too and mabie the multiplayer is playing as mumbo jolly wumba or others. They said they'd have diferent roles mabie this is there roles. The new tech fits in too with online multiplayer "gears of war halo 3...." it could mean new powers. You got equiment in halo mabie mumbo does the world magic and wumba can turn u into stuff? Allthough a side thought will warp pads, transporting silos and train staion type things be returning? Any way hope the stick to the release time. August mabie hope so or sooner mabie next week!!!!!! I wish I love this series and am telling every one I know about this game, and get an emulator if they don't have a 64. I've been replacing the games to look for things that they might put in. [edit] Nintendo too?

I have been wondering if this game has any chance of being released on the Wii too. I know that it says XBOX 360 on the trailer, and that Microsoft bought Rare, but the series has been on Nintendo the whole time, so you'd think that it might be on the Wii. Has Rare said specifically what consoles this game will be on?

When Rare got bought by Microsoft, all of Rare's characters went with it. There are only one or two characters that were originally Nintendo (I think Conker was one of them) that Nintendo actually got to keep when they switched ownership. Therefore, since Banjo and Kazooie are NOT Nintendo creations, they will go to Microsoft. This game will not be coming to the Wii unless Microsoft up and decides it doesn't want to own Rare anymore, which is highly unlikely since Rare is doing so well for them (Kameo: Elements of Power and Viva Pinata). --pIrish 03:54, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Conker belongs to Rare, as seen by the fact that he appeared on the Xbox in Conker: Live and Reloaded Dhalphir 07:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Also, if you go to the news section of Rare's site and go back a page or two, it explicitly states that the game will be going to the Xbox 360. So, basically, don't get your hopes up. --pIrish 17:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Dang, that's too bad. I'll have to play it at my friend's house on his 360.

For the record, Nintendo got to keep all the characters designed specifically for the Donkey Kong and franchise (that includes the Kremlings, even though I think they were planned to appear in something else before hand). They did not get to keep characters relating to Conker or Jetpac, which were released prior to their Donkey Kong cross-overs, or Banjo-Kazooie, which was in production before Banjo appeared in Diddy Kong Racing. Just so you know. RobbieG 22:39, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Since Nintendo were the ones who originally designed Donkey Kong, they get to keep him even though Rare developed DK64. However, Rare were the ones who invented characters such as Joanna Dark, Conker the Squirrel and Banjo. Therefore they now belong to Microsoft. Dhalphir 07:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

The deal allowed Rare to still work with Nintendo, but only with handheld games. This is another reason why Rare was allowed to port the Donkey Kong Country series to the Game Boy Advance. That, and Donkey Kong is a Nintendo property. And, seeing that there have been ports of Nintendo 64 games on the Nintendo DS, they could port Banjo Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie to the DS... if they can. They made a BK game for the GBA, but since they're making the next console game in the series for the Xbox 360... I don't know. Link 486 (talk) 13:55, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Immaturity

"Jolly's personal life was also questioned, but this was not replied to because of the immaturity of the query"

This seems like a very POV statement. Alot of people question jolly's sexuality, and it's pretty obvious he is gay. I'm deleting it, seeing as labeling it as "immature" is a reflection of someone's personal opinion. --Dallin Tanjo22 00:43, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

BTW, <ref> tags should appear immediately after punctuation. New posts in talk pages go to the bottom of the page. Just64helpin 00:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Release date for the game?

I heard the release date for the game was announced. Is that true? Link's Awakening 04:42, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

No. However, today is E3, and Microsoft's press conference is going as I type, so a lot of new information may be coming soon.

A release date is improbable, though...Rare is known to delay. =( Pokemon Fan 03:14, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Did some changes to the article

http://www.rareware.com/extras/scribes/30aug07/index.html

Rare's recent scribes addition has confirmed some of the things in BK3, I've put them in the article, if you feel a need to edit it to avoid repitition, then feel free to do so. DeLMrcs 23:55, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Teaser trailer link?

Does anyone have a link to the teaser trailer? I'm trying to find one, if I do, I'll put it in, but does anyone have one? Dhalphir 07:20, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

EDIT: Oops, didn't notice the link there at the bottom. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhalphir (talkcontribs) 07:21, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Platforms

I know that the trailer said for xbox 360 but i was reading the fourms and it said "I believe we have 'one or two' other people making similar enquiries in this edition" so chances are they will be making it for wii and ps2 or ps3

P.S. the link is found here http://www.rareware.com/extras/scribes/30aug07/index.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acdcfanactic727 (talkcontribs) 15:00, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Acdcfanactic727, the writer, Leigh, was referring to the fact that other people had asked similar questions. Read the context again, and I'm sure you'll be able to comprehend it. CoolKid1993 02:24, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Source It!

"In the August 30 edition of Scribes, a reply stated that the Banjo team will use the same model from Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie." I want a linked source to this! or I will delete it. Link287 06:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

In there it says ""3) Banjo's new look will not change. When you see the rest of the game and what it's about, the look will make more sense." And you know what else they say about 10% of all men?" Where are you getting its going to revert Link287 05:56, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
It's right after "Spiral Mountain will indeed be making a third appearance..." Just64helpin 11:29, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry if it irritating I still cant find it :-) Link287 04:03, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

None taken and yes " "Spiral Mountain will indeed be making a third appearance. We've just copied the old level from the previous games and tried to tart it up a bit with some lens flares and lots of blowing grass, hopefully you won't notice."The 'voices or mumbling' debate went on for some time, but we have decided that... ... ...THE MUMBLING WILL REMAIN! Banjo is known for the mumbling so it seemed odd to change it to 'proper' speech just because we could. "I don't think we have told Leigh anything about Banjo, so it would be difficult for him to create a page for it. He sells secrets on eBay, see." That's not entirely true, I sell lies on eBay. Saves me breaking any NDAs, although my Feedback rating's currently -612." Link287 05:17, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

So, er, whats the problem? Just64helpin 17:05, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Plesase tell me in there where there keeping the old models? Link287 03:07, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
I already swapped that line with a direct quote, so never mind. Just64helpin 11:19, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Confirmed Title?

I recently was searching on Google on info about Banjo-Kazooie 3 and discovered that someone (presumaly Rare) has registered BanjoThreeie.com. Although the URL is just a redirect to the Rare site, I suspect they were the ones who had set up the URL redirect and URL mask. So I think that Banjo Threeie may possibly be the actual title of the game. Any thoughts on moving this page? CoolKid1993 21:42, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

This doesn't confirm it. It's possible that they got that URL because people searching on google will type Banjo-Threeie because that's what it is well known as. Tommy11111 (talk) 18:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, they didn't register http://www.banjokazooie3.com . CoolKid1993 (talk) 23:42, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

True. This does make it more likely that it's Banjo-Threeie, but it's still not official. We should probably wait until an official announcement. Tommy11111 (talk) 16:22, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

I was looking around on Rare Witch project and found this Tommy11111 (talk) 01:26, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Please trust me the name is Banjo-threeie ALL the Rareware interviewies call it banjo threeie, why? Because it is!!! RAREWARE WOULD NOT CALL THEIR SITE BANJO-THREEIE.COM IF IT WASENT THE TITLE THEY ACCEPTED!!! Finnally it makes more sense then going with a title that appeared on a game preview that siad "banjo is back" banjo-kazooie 3 thats even less reliable! Accept the real title!—Preceding unsigned comment added by TheMagicCat (talkcontribs)
The site is not called banjothreeie.com -- the url just redirects to the rareware website. Apparently the url was registered in 2000 to prevent cybersquatting. A reply in the recent Scribes even says that Rare isn't quite sure about the name "Banjo-Threeie". Now please stop posting disruptively, and sign your messages with ~~~~. [edit] Needs more pictures

I think the article needs more pictures from the teaser trailer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.77.45.237 (talk) 19:35, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not Canceled

Shouldn't this article mention what this says?

I realise it was just a rumor, but rare saying it's not cancelled is official. Tommy11111 (talk) 01:17, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

I haven't heard anybody say no... I wrote this: Title: Cancellation Rumors In a podcast of 1 Up Yours (a podcast on the website 1 Up) It was stated that "A big Microsoft first-party title that has been in the works for a very long time, that people are very excited for, sounds like it's being canceled."(Here would be a source of the article above) This led many to believe it was Banjo-Kazooie 3. However, Rare later confirmed that it was not cancelled. Tommy11111 (talk) 17:40, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FPS

Gregg Mayles said, "YES - Not like Banjo-Tooie's though. No FPS sections, either. I think there are enough FPS games out there!" Does this mean just the multiplayer or the whole game? Both "moves" in the trailer used the Breegull Blaster position. EDIT this was after a question about whether there would be any multi player in the game. Tommy11111 (talk) 18:34, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] For the PC

On Rare's Website it says that Banjo Threeie may be available for the PC. I think it should go in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Banjo Dude (talk • contribs) 02:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Items Pictures

We need to get pictures of the Jiggy and the Notes from the teaser trailer beside the items section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Banjo Dude (talk • contribs) 23:35, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Christmas card

Rare made a Christmas card. Link. I think this should be added to the article seeing as this is only the second ever picture of the new Banjo and Kazooie. Perhaps put it in the characters section? I would do it but I don't know how to. Tommy11111 (talk) 16:50, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Looking at the picture a little bit closer, what's the thing in the lower right? I don't recognize it. It's possible that this will feature in Banjo-Kazooie/Threeie, though we can't put it in the article. I also don't recognize the thing in Banjo's hands, but it could just be an ornament. The thing in Kazooie's beak is hard to see because it's wrapped (Though it does look a little bit like Mumbo's staff). Tommy11111 (talk) 16:58, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. Tommy11111 (talk) 19:42, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I have noticed a couple things in here 1. the wall paper has jiggys one it and 2. the picture in the top right is Grunty and she also has a stocking Acdcfanactic727 (talk) 16:25, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

I just noticed something else. It's only visible in the two smaller sizes of the picture. It's on the far right. It looks like gigantic blender or something. P.S. The thing I was referring to on the 20th at 16:58 was the one that looks like it has a shower nozzle. Tommy11111 (talk) 20:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

None of this can go into the article. It's all entirely speculation which is strictly prohibited on Wikipedia (please see WP:OR). I have removed the section for now. If we can get any official word from RARE (NOT FANSITES!), then it can go back in. Until then, it should stay out. --69.215.175.202 (talk) 04:59, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

I would like to put it back in but when I looked at the history I think the person who removed it said there were copyright issues so I'm not sure we can. Tommy11111 (talk) 19:10, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, I'm pretty sure there are no copyright issues for what I saw on the website, but I could be wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Banjo Dude (talk • contribs) 00:12, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I looked in the history and found the comment: "Removing image with no copyright information. Such images that are older than seven days may be deleted at any time." I hope the do annother remake of grunnty industrys they had one in the original and tooie mabie 3. Or mabie conflaguration has to do with her new side kick. I hope its nothing stupid but havnt been disaponted much by rare yet. Dont like the new games much though[some kid 12:12am jan14 2008] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.130.239.55 (talk) 07:13, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Has anyone tried anagramming "Conflagration Violent"? That was the first thing that I thought of. 71.231.175.227 (talk) 07:10, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Christmas Card Section = Original Research

I've put up an "original research" tag on the Christmas card section. It's almost entirely speculation which is strictly prohibited on Wikipedia (please see WP:OR and WP:VERIFY). It is also using a forum as a source for the information which is not considered reliable (please see WP:RS) and those sources must be removed. If you feel the section must stay, it needs to be completely cleaned up and all speculation and original research must be removed. It must also use only reliable sources to verify the facts. Until Rare verifies the information in that section, it cannot be included. --74.137.226.142 (talk) 15:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

It all has been verified by Rare. (talk) 6:26, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Then use reliable sources from Rare or a major gaming news site to verify the facts, instead of using an unreliable source such as a message board from a fan site. --74.137.224.33 (talk) 19:21, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Also, what is the impact to Banjo-Kazooie 3? Does Gruntilda's head in the fireplace actually have any significance to the new game? I don't think so. At least, I don't think it has any more to do with the next game than the Viva Pinata characters do, which are also shown on the card. This leads to the question: why should this information be there if there isn't any relevance to the new game to begin with (please see WP:ROC)? If you can't figure out what the relevance is (without using original research), then that information should not be included. --74.137.224.33 (talk) 22:28, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

This information is very relevant: Question 10 "Are there clues in the Christmas card related to Banjo-Threeie? YES - Even we wouldn't be so cruel as to send you completely in the wrong direction!" (This was answered by Gregg Mayles) Tommy11111 (talk) 00:24, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Grant Kirkhope Interview

[3]

Grant Kirkhope:

Hmmm....I'd better not say too much about the new Banjo game...hehe! I am trying to keep the same oddball feel about it all......you might hear the odd reference back to some of the old pieces if you listen carefully....hehe!

I'm still not sure if I'm gonna do Banjo with full orchestra yet.....you'll have to wait and see!

[edit] Format

The characters section was changed from this:

Banjo

Banjo is a main protagonist in the Banjo-Kazooie series. He is a lovable, yet somewhat confused bear, who is the hero of this tale. He appeared in Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Banjo-Pilot, Diddy Kong Racing, and Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, and will return in Banjo-Kazooie 3 as revealed in the trailer released on September 27, 2006. Banjo's appearance is notably different from previous games in the Banjo-Kazooie series, as he appears more blocky than his original incarnation. In the most recent addition of Scribes, it has been confirmed that Banjo and Kazooie's new look will be kept. As said by Scribes: "Banjo's new look will not change. When you see the rest of the game and what it's about, the look will make more sense."[1] to this:

I prefer the older one, I think it makes it clearer which character is being described, but I was wondering if there was a reason for this or if it was purely stylistic. Tommy11111 (talk) 19:14, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

It's mostly to keep the main section in line with the other Banjo articles, as well as to avoid having subsections on each character, and to clear out redundant headers (e.g. Banjo: Banjo is a bear...) Just64helpin (talk) 21:57, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

That's a pretty good reason. I do like it better now that it has links. Never mind. Tommy11111 (talk) 23:28, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] More Information for Mumbo and Humba wumba

I put some more information in Mumbo's and Humba's sections, because I felt they needed to have more information in them, and I also put some links in them too.

Banjo Dude (Talk) 4:26 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] More Information

I just found out on the Rare Witch Project that Rare will answer 1 question February 1st about Banjo Threeie from one of the questions featured in the forum, so we should be getting more information very soon. Banjo Dude (talk) 15:14, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Banjo Dude (Talk) 19 January (UTC)

Rare is going to answer "ten or so" question on Spiral Mountain. Link. He also said that no more questions can be asked after January 31st, but it might take a few days to answer them. Tommy11111 (talk) 17:22, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Treasure Trove Cove

Someone added that Treasure Trove Cove was announced in the most recent Scribes. I read the Scribes and didn't see it in there. Sometimes it can be subtle, though, like with Mr. Patch. Did anyone else see this? Tommy11111 (talk) 23:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Apparently a GameSpot forum thread about the recent Scribes has the line "...a treasure trove of information (you were expecting a cove?)" This hardly equates to an official announcement. Just64helpin (talk) 01:02, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Banjo Kazooie Website

The Teaser Website section needs a picture showing what the website looks like. I would do it, but I don't know how to upload pictures. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.163.93.223 (talk) 17:19, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

No, it doesn't. CoolKid1993 (talk) 08:58, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Quotes

I understand that it may be a little difficult to accurately decipher quotes made by the Rare employees in this article, but there is this thing called paraphrasing. The purpose of the reference feature is to reference to the actual quote, and in the circumstances of this article, paraphrased statements should replace those that are simply copy/pasted on to this article. I'm going to try to tackle paraphrasing the quotes here, but I think it would be best if some of you actually try to do the same before you post new quotes.CoolKid1993 (talk) 08:58, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Renaming the article "Banjo-Threeie"

The only two hints we have so far at an official name are these: http://www.banjothreeie.com/ leads to the Rare website, and Gruntilda calls it Banjo-Threeie at the end of Banjo-Tooie. No other name has been suggested, so I think this article should be called Banjo-Threeie. Avengah (talk) 08:43, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Please see discussion here, and keep in mind that Wikipedia is not a democracy. Just64helpin (talk) 11:46, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nuts & Bolts

Someone moved the page to "Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts." I don't believe this has been confirmed; I believe it's only a rumor. Tommy11111 (talk) 20:58, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

I moved it back to "Banjo-Kazooie 3", since no source was mentioned by the user. Just64helpin (talk) 21:02, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Actually it's not a rumor. It has been confirmed in recent scribes. I suggest that we change it back. Also on the rareware website it is said that it has changed the title to Nuts and Bolts--Anfish (talk) 10:57, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
What? I don't see "Nuts & Bolts" mentioned in the Rareware site. The most recent Scribes is dated May 9, correct? Just64helpin (talk) 11:02, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Gamereactor has their hands-on preview up and the title is listed as Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts - here... SeanMooney (talk) 11:10, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Details from new Game Informer

Hey guys, thought I'd point this out. Someone on NeoGAF got the new Game Informer magazine and he posted some of the Banjo info. Official title for the game is "Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts" , the hub world is called Showdown Town, and lots more info there... here is the link. SeanMooney (talk) 21:58, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Until Rare officially announces this info, or it is publicly reported by reliable multiple sources, then the article should be left alone. CoolKid1993 (talk) 01:30, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sunset Beach

"Rare stated in Scribes that there will possibly be a level involving a sunset beach in which Tiptup will make an appearance."

Can someone please either cite this or remove it? The actual quote is: '"Tiptup will indeed make an appearance, complete with wooden acting skills." Did he just give away the secret Sunset Beach level?'. This to me implies simply that he's making a joke about the fact that Tiptup was never a very convincing character, like those of Sunset Beach (the 90s soap opera). Seems a bit silly to treat a jokey comment as encyclopedic! Cheers. 163.1.231.196 (talk) 00:19, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mario

http://gamevideos.com/video/id/18831

Mario is in the video1 69.229.194.47 (talk) 00:20, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

I never saw mario? Where did you see it??? --Anfish (talk) 01:06, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
I believe the user is referring to the 8-bit Mario sprite created from large blocks shown in one of the levels. Just64helpin (talk) 01:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Advertising

I've added the advert tag to the Plot section of the article. That section of the article is a disgrace. It was obviously written by by someone at Rare or someone who is trying to give them some free advertising. It desperately needs to be rewritten in NPOV. 123.243.99.2 (talk) 09:42, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

I've removed the section for now, as it was simply copied & pasted from Rare's website. SeanMooney (talk) 10:13, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spin-off?

Why is Banjo-Kazooie:Nuts and Bolts a spin-off??? It is part of the main series. Banjo-Pilot is a spin-off because it doesn't go along with the actual theme. But Nuts and Bolts is part of the real plot of the game. So why would it be a spin-off????????? --Anfish (talk) 00:49, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Some people have been looking at it like a spin-off because the gameplay is so different. But officially it has never been called a spin-off. Tommy11111 (talk) 16:47, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pictures

There are a lot of pictures we can be using for the characters. I think it would be easier instead of letting people search around for it. By the way how do you copy pix from another site and paste them here???--Anfish (talk) 10:41, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

I'd like to point out that the images are copyrighted and should be used sparingly. Please check out WP:IUP for the relevant policy. Just64helpin (talk) 12:52, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

How do you do it though?????? Yes, I will be careful, but how do you do it??????--Anfish (talk) 20:28, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

The link I provided contains this information. Just64helpin (talk) 20:46, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Okay I have know idea what it meant can someone other than me do it!!!! I can't and there is a lot of people searching for new pictures!!!--Anfish (talk) 00:50, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

We need to upload more pictures of the characters. Some people may be really wanting to see new pix and can't find it. So we need to upload them! here is a link--Anfish (talk) 11:30, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is not a repository of images. Just64helpin (talk) 13:43, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notes

The article says there are gold, silver, and bronze notes (It says this in the items section), but there's no source and I haven't seen this anywhere else. Tommy11111 (talk) 17:33, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Boggy and Mr. Fit

Rare had a hidden contest in Scribes and I won. The prize for winning was a wallpaper with the heads of a bunch of characters on it. Five of the heads are Boggy, Groggy Moggy, Soggy (Boggy's children), and Mr. Fit. I don't know how to put pictures one the internet, though. Should we wait until someone else put it up before adding them to the list of characters? Tommy11111 (talk) 17:50, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

This seems like WP:OR to me. Just64helpin (talk) 18:52, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Found it online [4] 24.18.240.159 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:04, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I'll add the information myself, then. Just64helpin (talk) 21:38, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dingpot

I'm not absolutely sure if this is Dingpot or an entirely different pot. It may even be Piddles. Anyway I am pretty sure that I saw Dingpot on Grunty's Co-Co Carrier. If we figure out exactly who that is could we put it on the article. This is for everyone but I have a feeling that Just64helpin is going to pop in. No offense, I can just tell that she is a great friend. I think she is a great contributer. Or is that user a boy???--Anfish (talk) 21:44, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

If you're asking if we can add text based on speculation, then that would be a no-no per WP:NOTCRYSTAL. Oh, and please refrain from posting remarks on other users. Just64helpin (talk) 21:53, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm not requesting speculation. It's on the blueprints seen at the rare witch project website. And I even said, " If we figure out exactly who that is could we put it on the article. " Oh and by the way, sorry about the personal attack. I didn't know that we weren't supposed to do this. Thanks for reminding me!!!--Anfish (talk) 22:12, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Grunty's Sidekick

Has anyone heard of Splungo. I have just been researching lately about Banjo Threeie and I heard that her new side kick is Splungo. Apparently Klungo's cousin that was sent in by Klungo himself. He apparently is Clumsy and accidently changes grunty's head to a bird shape. I don't know if this is true. Can someone confirm this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anfish (talkcontribs) 15:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

A reply in Scribes specifically stated that the new sidekick will not have "...ungo" in the name. Just64helpin (talk) 16:32, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Okay thanks for helping. Now the only question is WHO IS THE NEW SIDE KICK?--Anfish (talk) 21:55, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I figured out who the new sidekick is. It's a character named Piddles. I don't know much about it but i figured this out on the Xbox page for this game.--Anfish (talk) 21:55, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

We're talking about this detail page, right? That page mentions Piddles, but doesn't state that Piddles is the new sidekick. Just64helpin (talk) 22:00, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
