[edit] Geoffrey Keating as Gael
It is factually incorrect to describe Seatrun Ceitinn as a 'Gael'. He was of Cambro-Norman descent and would have been associated with the 'Old English', that is those who settled prior to the reformation, as distinct from the Protestant 'New English. The term Gaelic here refers , not to Ceitinn's 'identity' but to his studies of Irish (Gaelic) history and culture. RashersTierney (talk) 23:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
