[edit] Topography
The elevation of Badger Creek Wilderness ranges from 2,100 feet (640 m)to 6,525 feet (1,989 m). There are approximately 55 miles of developed trails, leading through steep walled glacial valleys and to the top of Lookout Mountain, a 6,525-foot (1,989 m) tall peak.[1] Three creeks drain the Wilderness - Badger, Little Badger, and Tygh.[2]
[edit] Vegetation
Lookout Mountain and the high ridgeland extending east support a subalpine ecosystem, with hardy trees and rocky terrain. Farther east in the Wilderness the climate is warm and dry. Ponderosa pine forest and extensive growths of Oregon white oak and grasslands are common here.[2]
