B Velorum (B Vel) is a binary star in the constellation Vela. It is approximately 1510 light years from Earth.
The primary component, B Velorum A, is a blue-white B-type main sequence dwarf with an apparent magnitude of +4.79. Its companion, the magnitude +6.3 B Velorum B, is 0.8 arcseconds away.
