Bârghiş (German: Bürgisch, Hungarian: Bürkös) is a commune in the northern part of Sibiu County. It is situated in central România, in the historical region of Transylvania. Its postal code is 557035.
Bârghiş has a population of about 2,146, of which 1,722 are Romanians, 117 Hungarians, 285 Roma, and 21 Germans.
The Bârghiş commune comprises several villages: Bârghiş, Apoş, Ighişu Vechi, Pelişor, Vecerd, and Zlagna.
