Azul Brazilian Airlines (Portuguese: Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S/A; or simply Azul) is a brazilian low-cost airline company based in São Paulo. It was established on 5 May 2008 by Brazilian-born David Neeleman, founder and former-CEO of JetBlue. The airline is scheduled to start operating by the first quarter of 2009 and has ordered a fleet of 76 Embraer 195 jets. [1]

Azul aspires to fill Brazil's aviation void and to become the largest and most prominent airline in Brazil.
