[edit] Beer Pong Source

I don't have an outside source for the formula since I solved the skill curve equation on my own time. I know wikipedia needs more than assertions from the random crowd, and there is an independant research policy to prevent that kind of behavior.

That being said, I can write a mathematical proof so we can back it up as more than my opinion, and I assume since formal proofs are irrefutable that would be more reliable than a source link anyway. I'm just not sure what kind of format I would need to submit this in, or where to put it so that people can be linked to verify it's accuracy. Obviously 10+ lines of derviations and formal logic don't belong in an article for beer pong, do you have any suggestion on how to proceed? SFoster83 20:27, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Maybe if you have a blog or website or something you could write about it, and then link to it? Did you publish it anywhere? Academic paper, anything? Sounds pretty cool. --AW 20:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, something like that would work. I haven't done much with the website yet, but I own pongshot.com and putting the whole formula up there would fit in. SFoster83 20:40, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, that sounds good --AW 20:42, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DC Meetup notice

Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians in the District of Columbia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices (like this one), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page. --Gmaxwell 16:13, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Borf

I wasn't aware that 'Borf' was an editor, and I certainly wasn't aware that AGREEING with someone on a discussion page that vandalists are stupid was oh-so terrible. Then again, by the looks of your 'page' you are a total Wiki nerd, and I don't know why I bother talking sense to you.

-whatever my ip is and i'm sure you know you twat —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.149.197.53 (talkcontribs).

I 'personally attacked' you? Wow. Just wow. Stop annoying me, you sensitive weirdo. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.149.197.53 (talkcontribs).

You've called me a twat, nerd, and weirdo so far. I'm happy to discuss whatever issues you have with the article, but you keep leaving insulting comments on here. That's not how Wikipedia works. --AW 22:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ernie Byfield

I added material showing relevance to the bio stub for Byfield and provided published and credible citations for the material. As a consequence, I have removed the relevance tag. Byfield founded what is arguably the most famous restaurant in Chicago and was known for bringing theatrics to the restaurant business. The number of flambé dishes served by his restaurant, The Pump Room, Chicago was noted and started a trend in the post-war United States. The article needs much more work and has been categorized as stub level on several different lists. Thank you for your criticism. VirginiaProp 20:24, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome, and it looks good now. Thanks --AW 20:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] admin

Hey. I went and found some of your edits recently, and upon looking through them, I thought that you may want to become an admin over at WP:RFA. I'm no sure if this interests you or not, but you look like a good candidate, and I'd certainly nom you if you wanted. Let me know of your decision. Plus, your name is quite similar to mine, no? :) Wizardman 23:03, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

I would totally support it too. --Stlemur 20:37, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I will get the nomination ready and post it here tomorrow night. You can get your answers to the geneal questions ready in the meantime. Wizardman 03:03, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, will do! --AW 14:26, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

It's done. Good luck. Wizardman 01:09, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Alright then, that's done. Now just transclude it onto the main page and you're set. Wizardman 15:10, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Ok, thanks! --AW 22:15, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Domhnall of Islay, Lord of the Isles sections

Your tag is completely unnecessary and pointless. Besides, It takes just about as much effort to put sections on an article that size as to tag it. ;) Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 20:57, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

I disagree, it's a pretty long article and is just a mass of text. I think it could be divided into various time periods. --AW 21:00, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Skibbledee

Please refrain from spelling words incorrectly on the "Dickie V" page, that makes the information look completely unprofessional. You may want to invest in a spell checker or worst case, a dictionary to help your edits along. Those unconstructive edits of yours are offensive to people like me. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skibbledee (talkcontribs)

I didn't spell any words wrong, I reverted vandalism, which you continued. --AW 19:38, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
I stand corrected I rechecked the version history on the Dickie V info and "completely" was misspelled before you. But I couldn't help but notice on your user page, the contribution states "espescially", which does not appear to be in the English language. Just wanted to point out the contribution wasn't correct, not the contributor. It should be "especially". I did take a look at the welcome page and have learned not to "attack" the contributors. Thanks for the great recommendation. Cheers Skibbledee 19:56, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
