[edit] Game

I know the game was noted for having poor gameplay, poor handling and I finished the game 98% in one week before I managed to get for a refund from the local videogame chainstore. And I could write a list about how the game can be improved...

But lets talk about what is good about the game...

1) The first car driving game to feature Cel Shading

2) The first to allow the player to customise the appearance of their car

2) As with #2, if you had to choose to drive a car you customised in AM compared with Need For Speed Underground, Street Racing Syndicate and Juiced which one would you choose, I would choose AM as many of the cars are total competition style, though I have never played SRS, I wouldn't like to be seen dead with these naff side striping or these "Race Inspired" bodykits made popular by the latter 3 games or is simply too "Chav Style" for my taste.

4) Like most Japanese games, the game dosen't in any form see itself as a The Fast and The Furious wannabe like NFSU, Juiced and , so "pretentious 'ardman" voice acting

Does any of this have to do with the expansion of the article..? -ZeroTalk 15:05, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Well, where it says appearance driven game answers it all.

[edit] Not Neutral?

Personally, I think that the article is not neutral. I thought the handling was not that bad, did Capcom actually say that the game had bad handling dynamics?

That was in fact a common criticism by reviewers, even people who reviewed the game at sites like Gamefaqs highlighted it, I had to back that case up, as an experienced driving gamer, the cars there do not act like any car at all, I take in your case, you have never driven a car before. No, I have driven a car before. But this is a video game, and it's also cell shaded. What you are asking of this game would be like asking a game like Mario Kart to handle like a car.
