[edit] questions

In 2005 it won an Emmy - what years did the program air?

It's still on.

On what channel did it air?

It varies by state, but many PBS stations are airing it (over 80 last I checked)

"..teach children lessons in character and values." Not having seen the show, would it be fair to change this sentence to "..character and Christian values." ? Being a Christian animated show with a Christian theme told through parable, this seems fair, but again, I have not seen it firsthand.

I don't think that change is necessary. The way the show is set up they don't do things like "We should do this because the bible says so." The actual show has nothing like that, it just shows the characters learning good lessons (respect, playing fair, etc.) BUT then on the DVD insert, it lists bible passages which would mesh well with the show.
