[edit] New Falcon countdown begins
The countdown to the launch of the new Ford Falcon has begun. Details of the new Falcon will be released in February 2008; three months before the launch of the car. The new generation Falcon will be the eighth in the model's lifetime and has been described as "make or break" by some. Ford's Falcon has been recently losing sales; selling half of what they were selling in 2004. Many replacements of the old BF Falcon will be undertaken for the new model, but the new Falcon will share some underpinnings from the old seventh generation Falcon; which started with the AU Falcon of 1998-2002.
