Astro Glacier

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Astro Glacier (82°54′S 157°20′ECoordinates: 82°54′S 157°20′E) is a glacier between Turner Hills and Tricorn Peak in the Miller Range, flowing northeast into the Marsh Glacier. Seen by the northern party of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (NZGSAE) (1961-62) and so named because an astro station was set up on the bluff at the mouth of the glacier in December 1961.
