Asleep In The Park are an Australian indie rock band, based in Melbourne, Victoria. To date they have released 1 studio album Sky Caves In and an EP Let You Go. Asleep In The Park cite various musical influences from rock to old school punk, country, pop and soul.

Forming in 2004 by the amalgamation of bands Velvet Lama and Trace, Asleep in the Park retained the two lead singers, one male, one female. Recording and releasing their debut album ‘Sky Caves In’ in 2004, the band embarked on a national tour with Epicure, followed by extensive gigging in and around Melbourne during 2005/06. 2006 saw Asleep in the Park return to the studio, resulting in the EP ‘Let You Go’, released at the end of June. Asleep in the Park have also commenced work on their second album, scheduled for release early in 2008.
In September 2007 they embarked on a very successful European tour playing cities such as Amsterdam, Moscow, Kiev, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Bucharest and Istanbul and became the first international act to be recorded live-to-air at Istanbul's only commercial rock radio station, K-Rock.

2004's Sky Caves In was a critical success in Australia, with a number of tracks played on major local radio stations such as Triple J.
