We seem to be using two taxonomies for the koels; at koel the Australian species is separate, but then redirects here where it is treated as a race! Confusing! Gill ad Wright have it as a separate species, but call it a Pacific Koel, obviously trying to confuse it with the Long-tailed Koel, which we call a Long-tailed Cuckoo. I love the idiosyncratic way we do things here! Sabine's Sunbird talk 04:59, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
