Ashraya Ananthanarayanan the first student of the Shruthilayam Academy recieves the title of " CHILD AMBASSADOR" from PFA, India founded by Mrs. Maneka Gandhi.

Enough cannot be said about this seven year old. At a tender age of seven, her awareness of various social issues and willingness to learn and do things is laudable. Besides learning Bharatnatyam, she is also learning to play the violin. Besides visiting the old aged homes in her area, her vocal rendition of the Nutcracker’s Suite has helped raise funds for the disabled. She has also won the Best Citizen’s Award. She is an avid reader and has published a short story titled ‘Making New Friends’. She is soon to release a CD on Karnatic vocal music. Ashraya Ananthanarayanan sets an example for others to follow.

Shri.K.Ganapathy popularly known as Ganpa in the cricketing field of Chennai, Tamilnadu has been a fantastic cricket player of his time in the early 50's . He also served the TNCA as a chairperson of under 16 committee till his retirement.
Under his captaincy the Madras team has won several accolades and awards in the prestigious Ranji Trophy matches.
An Alumni of Vivekananda College, Chennai he brought lots of laurels and applauds to the insitution. Event oday his name stands out on the wall plaque of their sports department.
Ashraya Trust foundation is in the process of establishing the Shri.KrishnaIyer Ganapathy Rolling Trophy for excellence in Cricket at the famous Vivekananda College of Chennai. This trophy we hope shall be a great source of inspiration and motivation for the upcomign talents in this field.
