[edit] Bias?

It is generally accepted that certain publications in the US, for example, lean somewhat towards the left or the right, and many other journals throughout the world present clearly slanted views of events (Israeli publications come to mind). Does Asharq Alawsat have such a reputation (one that is generally accepted as accurate) as being biased or leaning toward any particular ideology (political, religious or otherwise)? Since the article describes it as "pan-Arabic", I would assume that it does have such a bias, and is likely to be somewhat hostile toward non-Arab states (particularly Iran). Is this an accurate assessment? -Grammaticus Repairo 01:08, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
