[edit] William Massa
An IP claims that the subject of the article apparently wants his Wikipedia biography removed. I'm bringing this here to see if this guy passes WP:BIO. Spellcast 13:46, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete I created this page as a surprise for the screenwriter since he just got his first movie made and it has a Wikipedia article with his name in red type. However, William Massa has requested to not have a page for some reason. (In fact, he is freaking out about it.) So go ahead and delete it before he decides to sue me or something. - In light of the request of User:Wrrshiper, the author of this page, I believe the page now qualifies for speedy deletion under G7, and I have so tagged the page. Please note that most of the posters below did not have the benefit of User:Wrrshiper's input at the time of their comments. I don't think there would be any controversy if they had. - Strong keep. Notable screenwriter. Within minutes after this page was created, it was vandalized by an SPA, then by an anon after said SPA was indefinitely blocked. The IP making the claim that Massa wants that page deleted should have the decency to give it some credibility. Who says that person is not an enemy of Massa? --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 17:07, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Caution here. The single purpose account you mentioned was user:nomadscreenwriter and just as easily could be the subject attempting to blank his own information. Notice that the myspace username linked is "nomadbill." There's ample reason to err in favor of the deletion, especially since there are no references to support any of the biographical information listed. In fact, I think I've talked myself into a delete per WP:BIO. Xymmax 17:31, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, one straight-to-video sequel does not a notable screenwriter make. Have to agree with the nom regardless of the apparent desires of the subject. --Dhartung | Talk 19:58, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete this person has only one entry in the IMDB, as writer of Return to House on Haunted Hill, which although it has a Wikipedia entry could be only just on the threshold of notability. PatGallacher 21:30, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete for lack of notability. Wryspy 22:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, does not come close to meeting WP:BIO guidelines. RFerreira 08:28, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Delete as per the above. --Crusio 13:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
