Crónica de una muerte anunciada comenta sobre muchos aspectos de las personas. Por ejemplo, la hipocresía social es un tema. Esta novela es contradictoria en muchos lugares, la cual expone como una información equivocada mató a un hombre (sus temores los silencian). La gente es ciega a comó sus morales los hieren.

Primero, muchos individuos son lo opuesto de lo que ellos afirman ser. Angela, por ejemplo, simula tener morales estrictos, pero ella tuvo sexo con un hombre antes del matrimonio. Las mujeres tienen cuidado más sobre lo que otras personas piensan que lo que estes morales significan. Otro ejemplo es el padre Carmen Amador. Él no trata mucho en ayudara Santiago. Este hombre de la iglesia tiene muchas razónes porque él no busca para Santiago para decirle sobre el plan de los gemelos (Nevison 1).

Hay también hipocresía de la sociedad. Ellos afirman tener morales, pero ellos no alertan a Santiago sobre el plan de los gemelos. Este asunto es muy importante (la vida de Santiago). Ellos fingen ser virtuosos, pero cuando es muy importante, la gente no hace nada (Márquez 110).

In 1966 Harry Wolf set for himself the goal to create an architectural practice which would produce carefully detailed works of outstanding quality and consistent integrity. Today after five times receiving what the AIA characterizes as “ The Nation’s Highest Award for Architectural Excellence” and 30 or more other significant Regional and State AIA Awards. After nearly 300 projects, he continues his quest.

Ask Harry Wolf to describe his work and he may show you the photograph of a Japanese fisherman's robe, a museum piece from the 19th century.

“These robes are simply three layers of cotton, dyed the Indigo of the sea, and stitched together with coarse thread. The rows of stitching, vertical and horizontal in grids, serve the purpose of relieving stress and distributing it across the fabric. Where the wear is the greatest, in the seat, the shoulders and at the edges, the stitching pattern doubles or triples increasing the resistance to wear at these crucial locations. The result is rational, intelligent and beautiful.

The Japanese never thought to not make it beautifully, as distinct from making something beautiful; that is, the beauty arises out the intelligent and careful application of the craft to the necessities. Because it is unselfconscious, because it arises out of creatively meeting needs, it retains this sense of beauty over time. This is a great lesson and important to me.”

His practice has sought to synthesize the client’s needs with the necessaries of construction, with the valence of site and culture of place, to produce a seemingly effortless, understated elegance. Here is a search to realize a sense of rightness of result, of inevitability.

He views cost to be a major consideration. Weaned on projects where time and budget, not architecture, were the prime concerns of the clients, the office has nevertheless received International recognition for its design work. This has been achieved by a certain design ethic- the determination to define architecture through its essential elements and distill the truth of a building as a means to condense its poetic force, as a repository of energy to be transmitted to the “dwellers” of architecture.

Throughout his career, he has subscribed to an ecological approach to architecture in which conceives the impact of time as a positive component and innovative in its contribution to the re-qualification of the environment. Against his sensibility is the impulse to overpower nature with a spendthrift attitude towards resources- be they natural or economic.

A believer in restricted means, in working within confines, Harry Wolf’s respect for the “facts” has won him the confidence of many clients. It is because of this that he has been able to advance his long-held convictions about sustainablility and effectively influence the ethos that has driven a number of major building projects such as the ABN-AMRO headquarters in Amsterdam, NationsBank Tower in Tampa and the Disney Arrival Building in Anaheim.

The achievement of this is always thru the interaction of a team embracing the client in an uncharacteristically active way, with the finest engineering and technical consultants. The works are a team effort, first last and always and the interaction is alchemical, producing results impossible to preconceive, and great fun in the process!

Quest of the Ancients is an Independent Pen and Paper Role Playing Game published in the late 80s by Unicorn Game Publications. It is mainly a Dungeons and Dragons clone, in that it was class based, and used a skill system similar to the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons thief skill system. Most notably it used a thirty sided die (or d30) for combat resolution.

Duddys Chippy was established in 2001 and has gone on to recieve 3 national awards for the quality of the fish. With views on expansion and growth Duddy is hoping to rival Harry Ramsden's with regard to customers served in his Chip Shops.

Duddys Chippys are run by the famous Leroy Brown. He first achieved fame for his large battered sausages which attracted customers from miles around. They were said to be the biggest and juiciest around. "Brown" Sausages are still a pulling point and always a favourite on the menu. It was always advertised as "Could you handle a Brown Sausage" as it was such a challenge to eat it.

Duddys Fast Food Restaurants chain has grown so much the fourth outlet is due to open in Summer 2008. Leroy Brown still works for the company but has come a long way from when he used to peel the potatoes. Mr Duddy himself first started peeling the potatoes himself in the early days but had to stop due to his high demands with regard to the quality of the chips cut from them. Mr Duddy now has very little involvement in the company and Leroy Brown has taken all of this responsibility.

Charlie began treading the boards at an early age making his stage debut at the Opera House on his native island of Jersey at the age of nine. After many successful appearances touring the UK and two years at the Edinburgh Festival with the National Youth Music Theatre which included 'Oliver', as Joseph in 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' and "Bodywork" a musical by Richard Stilgoe, Charlie decided to further his dance and musical training at the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London. Whilst training, he played the leads in numerous college productions and professional summer seasons. After leaving college Charlie spent three years performing in cabaret, panto and London's West End.It was while living in London and training for Starlight Express that Charlie decided to move his career into a different direction when the opportunity arose to return to Jersey and join ITV’s Channel Television as a presenter. Charlie became the face of Channel Television, initially reading the daily Birthday greetings with a stuffed bird called Oscar (of the Puffin variety) and then reading the news. It was as the presenter and producer of his own weekly entertainment programme that he found his niche interviewing celebrities and attempting daredevil stunts. He also hosted 'The Lottery Show' and presented, wrote and subbed news stories for the GMTV regional opt-outs. Whilst at Channel Charlie had the opportunity to showcase his talents as an actor and dancer appearing in the ITV series "Island". After cutting his teeth at Channel, Charlie moved to the UK where he joined the presenting team of UK Gold writing and presenting links and voicing promotions he also continued to read the news, this time for ITV's Border Television and regularly presented travel programmes for ‘The TV Travel Shop'. As the main Anchor of “The Measure” Charlie hosted a daily live 2-hour news magazine programme for SKY, presented infomercials and has been the technical and internet expert for NTL. Not everything goes to plan on the first take, so Charlie has on more than one occasion been the subject of ‘TV’s Naughtiest Blunders’ and ‘It will be alright on the Night’ Most recently Charlie has been making a name for him self fronting ‘Make Your Play’ on ITV1 and has become a much loved and popular presenter on Price-drop TV where his humour and unique style has not gone unnoticed resulting in a couple of awards, including most popular shopping telly presenter. Currently and can also be seen hosting the best bingo on the box Gala TV for Endemol. As presenter and host Charlie fronted two series of ‘Search for a Presenter’ a reality competition for wannabee presenters to get the chance to front their on show Radio has always been a passion and apart from brief foray in BBC Radio Charlie has never really had the chance to showcase his talents behind the mic. That changed when he presented a music show on ‘The Radio Music Shop’ for Somethin’ Else the UK’s top radio production company. Constantly in demand as a TV presenter and a host of major corporate events and video’s his clients include Barclays, Peugeot, T-Mobile, Curry’s, New Look, One-Tel and the Cooperative society to name but a few. He has also presented a number of live road shows including “Taste for Life” a Ready Steady Cook style cookery contest and “Style Challenge” Charlie has gained experience presenting a variety of programmes news, factual entertainment, lifestyle and light entertainment and has presented for the BBC, ITV, GMTV, FIVE and SKY. He’s not the type to sit in front of the camera and let the scriptwriters make him look good. When it comes to presenting Charlie is extremely diligent and can get involved with producing. He is very much an accomplished live presenter whether it’s in the studio or on location and is always professional and relaxed in front of the camera. Born in 1978 in Asmara in a place referred as Alfa Romeo, to a family where an art hardly encouraged but spared after his big brother's inclination to it. "My father always insisted that I should stay intact with education, and that's why he attentively inspects on all my educational stuffs," recalls Hagos Weldeghebriel, better known by his namesake - Suzinino nicknamed after his hilarious comedy he produced in 2003.

"The inspiration was like an electric shock", he continued.  "I was in Markato and when I pass through Cinema Asmara toward my home, a crowd of people were gathering at the gate; I asked a man as what is up to with the people and he replied that a drama entitled as 'Mekeret' was performing there. Without hesitation, I got in and in no time, I felt I should do something to be like them." In addition to that, as he had trained about writing and directing a drama by National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students along with some of his contemporaries such as Daniel Amare and Mihreteab Girmay, they established Yohana drama club in 1992. Hence, they started to write dramas though; he further says, "My talent, passion and love towards it predate the establishment of the drama club through my brother's influence." 

"Mizan Fiqurat, my first drama performed along with my class mates in Denden Secondary School, can be taken as a stepping stone toward my career," he argued. They performed it in various cities like Adi Keyih, Mendefera, May Habar, Dekemhare and others and got high acclamations, he recalls. Nevertheless, the first drama he produced with Yohana drama club was 'Serbi' authored by Fasil Tesfay, and it was in ' FiQri hade deqiQ' that he firstly took a comic role, he added. The drama, "directed by me, was a brainchild of Solomon Ghebremedhin (Chico), and it was this very drama that manifested my inner talent-a comedian and since then, along with serious roles, I started to put my comic roles high in my menu" he noted.

"At that time we had a financial constraints to the extent that we sometimes lack money for bus return fare from a tour," Suzinino's club cofounder Daniel Amare says. "Only the passion and love of the art was driving us to produce more on which all expenses were met by us and the costume and other necessary articles were brought from our homes," he further adds.

However, Hagos continues, "the credit for boosting my career goes to Sawa Training Camp. It was when I enrolled to 3rd round; I got the chance to freely exploit my comic talent along with my cultural troupe and the feed back we got from the trainers was further fueled our feelings and enthusiasm to bear such a good performances," he said. Besides, "for a tongue slip at an occasion where trainers were gathered, 'Jack' replaced the very name originally given to me by my parents," remarks.

"Then after, I wrote, directed and acted in many serious and comic dramas, video clips and TV shows and films, yet the video Suzinino I produced in 2003 was the one that introduced me with the public" he says. The morale of the comedy in particular titled as Suzinino, is as simple as what a flashy person would venture into, and the responses we got from it was encouraging and that is the first drama that tipped my career an enhancement and lifted my vigor, Suzinino further added. 

Off course, after that along with my drama mates such as Mihreteab Girmay, Ceasar Zaid, Mihret Tesfa Michael, Saleh Mohammed Said and others, we produced a series of TV and Video clips such as Nsha (2002), Hadgat (2003), Suzinino (2003), and with Saimon Beyene

(Tafla) like Meanta (2004) , Weteto (2006) and soon to be released         Mear  , he continued . Besides as part of my endeavor on producing films, Hagos further noted, he authored and directed Danait and directed and acted in  Simbrat that authored by Salh Mohammed Said; and directed a video clip titled as ' Riwyet ' which was produced by Teshale Brhane . But, he says, "now I am intensively engaging on a new film, titled as ' Ngusat Nail' ", in which he says, "I am trying to produce it with the current cinematographic techniques and equipments, encompassing a great deal of minor roles ( up to 1000) from all societal strata. The aim, continued he, "is to pave a way and meet with the film standards and participate on FESPACO, the Pan-African Film and Television Festival, held annually in Burkina Faso,"he further says. 

"The theoretical and practical courses, we got at Cinema Odeon under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs of the PFDJ, regarding to film production ,cinematography, directing, lighting, sound system, editing and the issue of copy right really helped me on our career," he further says. At the end of the session, the drama performed by their group titled us 'Check', wrote and directed by him, ranked first. The drama, being a metaphor, its message can be summarized as the gloomy life standard of a rich family despite their fortune vis-à-vis the warm and harmonious one of their poor neighbor. Moreover, apart of the 60 plus short TV shows, he either authored or directed ' Hyaw Hne, Swr Mistir, Nefri' among others. In addition, he acted on many festival and Liberation Day ceremonial activities.

Not only did he act in dramas but also wrote many lyrics to some famous Eritrean singers. His song titled as Mahlaki from his first album; a song written to his film, Danait got a wide listener ship. "Many people think that the song was written based on my personal experience, but the truth is in converse," he argued. "It is merely a romantic experience in which every person at least know about or pass through," added he. Nevertheless, Hagos continues, "my endeavor is not fully met and I know I should work more, yet the assistance and encouragement from my audience is vital thing," he stated. And, he adds, "it is a natural thing to encounter immature people who try to impede once vigor and spirit and the right thing one can do, especially an artist, is just to focus and be confident on his/her work" he says.

With the potential, he possesses, along with his striving colleagues amalgamated with constructive criticisms and comments from his audiences, time will show what he is going to bear.

Randal Simmons is the first fatality in the Los Angeles Department Police Department's SWAT division^[3]. He was shot and killed by a suspect in the city of Winnetka, located in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County in a standoff that claimed the lives of 5, including the alleged perpetrator. Another officer of the SWAT Division was also shot, James Veenstra, but his injuries proved to be non-fatal. Veenstra is being treated at the Northridge Medical Center and his prognosis is "very good" according to one of his surgeons, Gabriel Aslanian.^[4]

Perfecto Prep was a rival school to Acme Looniversity on the animated TV show Tiny Toon Adventures.

Perfecto Prep was first introduced in the episode "Acme Bowl".
