William Bostock, a First World War veteran, was one of the RAAF's senior officers during the Second World War and later a Liberal Party politician. He was born in Surry Hills, Sydney on 5 February 1892. In November 1914, having been a shipboard wireless operator, Bostock joined the AIF. He served on Gallipoli with the 2nd Signal Troop from the landing on 25 April until August when he was evacuated suffering from dysentery.

In April 1916 Bostock, then a sergeant, transferred to the Anzac Mounted Division's Signal Squadron. Like many who had served in the infantry or a mounted unit, Bostock sought to become an airman and in February 1917 he was discharged from the AIF and commissioned into Britain's Royal Flying Corps. After training, in August 1917, Bostock joined 48 Squadron on the Western Front. He was invalided to England in March 1918 and later transferred to the Royal Air Force.

On 6 March 1919 Bostock married Gwendolen Norton in Southhampton and the couple returned to Australia when he retired from the RAF that October. In September 1921 he was appointed flying officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. Thus began a steady rise through the ranks that included a two year stint at the RAF Staff College in England and the directorship of training at the RAAF's headquarters in Melbourne. He took command of 3 Squadron at Richmond in New South Wales in 1931, and was promoted to wing commander in 1934, after a period as Richmond's station commander. An exchange to England followed before Bostock returned to Melbourne, where, in 1938, he became Director of Operations and Intelligence. Shortly afterwards he was promoted to group captain.

Bostock was appointed Deputy Chief of the Air Staff shortly before the Second World War. By June 1940 he had risen to temporary air commodore and in October 1941 to air vice marshal. On 2 May 1942 he became Chief of Staff to the American Allied Air Forces commander. In August he was made Air Officer Commanding RAAF Command and given responsibility for the aerial defence of Australia and operations against the Japanese in the Netherlands East Indies.

In March 1945, having overseen a series of successful operations against the Japanese to Australia's north between 1942-1944, Bostock was given responsibility for air support during the invasion of Borneo. General MacArthur praised Bostock's command and he was highly regarded for his intellect. The culmination of his wartime career came in September 1945 when he was invited to represent the RAAF at the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay.

After the war Bostock ran a grazing property in Victoria and wrote numerous aviation articles for the Herald. In 1949 he won a seat in the House of Representatives for the Liberal Party which he held until 1958. He had also served on the Australian War Memorial's board of management. Exalted Entertainment is known as a student led design and production company located in Eastern Tennessee. The company was formed in late 2006 with the idea of "exalting christ through entertainment" (Exalted Entertainment Myspace). Still at a small crew, Exalted Entertainment strives for professionalism throughout their videos and graphic design work. As a networking concept, Exalted Network is currently under development to network sites powered by the company.

The Crisis is a punk band influenced by great bands such as Blink-182 and Green Day. The Crisis formed as a garage band in 2004. The band currently consists of Dave - lead guitar, Kayla - Bass guitar, and Jamie - Drums. In 2005 the band released an album entitled "6 months" under an independent label called Phoxd Records. By 2006 they had began working on their second album entitled "Sweating like a nun on Sunday" which will be released on June 17, 2007. The band has over come many obsticles that many other punk bands face. The Crisis has played many shows and often plays major hits such as (My Own Worst Enemy by Lit) and (Reckless abandon by Blink-182). According to the band, since their last album they have ditched phoxd Records and plan on independently release this second album.

Ruby on Rails Migrations are part of the web application framework called Rails (Ruby on Rails), released in 2004, that aims to increase the speed and ease with which database-driven web sites can be created. The framework itself uses the Model-View-Controller design pattern and Migrations stand to serve that methodology near the Model part. Migration serve as a database abstraction layer so the model can operate abstractly and use the Object-relational mapping capabilities.

Migrations in Ruby on Rails are an easy way to manage (describe) what the database should look like and synchronize it with the respective model(OOP) and between different servers. Migrations are abstract to the database they are used with. This means that if you have used a MySQL database server when developing the application and the production database server is different let’s say PostgreSQL the database you defined within the migrations will remain intact and will run just fine on the new database server. Migrations provide a way to make the database versioning like SUBVERSION for code.

Each migration file has a name starting with three digits and an underscore. Those digits are the representation of the migrations version (a bit like SVN), because they define the sequence in which the migrations are applied.

• Create a migration using: ruby script/generate migration ShortDescriptionOrJustAName
• Edit the file created in db/migrate directory and describe the changes that need to be made (adding a column, renaming a table, inserting data...)
• Run rake db:migrate which will find the current migration and run the next migrations till the database is up to date (to the latest, highest number migration)

You can use migrations for pretty much everything. Some of the usages might be pointless but still you can do a migration for pretty much everything you can write with a Native SQL sentence.

The following usage of migration is common for most of the Ruby on Rails Projects:

• Loading data
• updating data
• forcing a desired/expected database schema
• renaming tables, columns or changing their types
• others... some of them may be pointless

Burrage Pond Wildlife Managment Area (BPWMA) is located in the towns of Hanson, Massachusetts and Halifax, Massachusetts. The area is composed of 1625 acres of open land for public use. Hunting is permitted except on sundays. BPWMA is made up mainly of swampy lands, old cranberry bogs (formally Bog 18, the biggest in the world), and cedar forest. It is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Eren YAG was born in Istanbul , and began playing guitar at age 16. By 1999, Eren YAG was learning guitar with the influence of the Heavy Metal Bands.Then the big change has begun and at the age of 20 and he started to practice advanced guitar techniques. Eren studied books and other resources from internet about advanced guitar techniques.His music style has changed and he started to listen instrumental guitar music and artists like Joe Satriani,Steve Vai, Al Di Meola and John Petrucci.

In 2004 ,Eren studied their music and their lessons,videos,articles.Later He started to listen different music styles and different artists. Sally joined Radio 2 in October 1998 and is known to listeners for her regular travel reports.

She began working at AA Roadwatch in the 80s, presenting their Travel News and became part of several stations' daily output including LBC, BBC Southern Counties Radio, Chiltern and many more. She then left to freelance as a contributor to various stations, including BFBS.

She returned briefly to AA Roadwatch to be the first regular travel reporter on Classic FM, and during this time she also did reports on Sky TV.

Sally went on to present her own programmes on commercial radio and subsequently expanded her repertoire by joining BBC World Service as an announcer and newsreader.

BBC Greater London Radio then beckoned and she became their major travel reporter, not only reporting on the station but also writing and delivering scripts for the sister TV programmes, Newsroom South East. During this time she also made several television appearances, both nationally and locally, whenever a travel story warranted it.

Sally is also pursusing both her writing and singing careers, and tries to keep in shape with regular visists to the gym.

The Boom Ride, invented in 1806 in the town of Hoisington, Ohio. The original was torn done decades later during the battle of Oh Ho. Nathanial Willis started constuction of the boom ride out of boredom. after confering with his wife, who said "That's a first class idea.", he began building. Nathanial Willis "employed" many slaves in the constuction of his crude boom ride, 4/3rds of them died in horrible accidents. the reason for the weird fraction is due to the fact that slaves who were not even working on the project died as innnocent bystanders and have been included in the facts. thus the boom ride has been given the nickname of "Boom Ride of Death." In continuence of the nickname a boom ride has been built in North Korea, involving flames, pointy objects and nuclear waste.

Rev. John Scott Lidgett (1854-1953) established Bermondsey Settlement in 1891. It was to be the only Methodist settlement and provided an opportunity for better-off Methodists to live in a deprived area and to share the lives of people there. John Scott Lidgett had a vision of the settlement as a 'community of social workers who come to a poor neighbourhood to assist by methods of friendship and cooperation those who are concerned with upholding all that is essential to the well-being of the neighbourhood'. He argued for stronger action to advance the social, economic and spiritual conditions of the working classes. As well as becoming the Warden of the settlement, John Scott Lidgett was an important Methodist theologian arguing for tolerance and Christian unity. He was a strong advocate of the formation of the Wesley Guild (1890) which became the main means of organizing work with young people within the Methodist Church (the Guild also involved older people). The Guild had 152,000 members in some 2000 groups by 1900. He was also recognized as the principal architect of Methodist Union in 1932. Scott Lidgett was not afraid to engage in politics. He became was an alderman on the London County Council and leader of the Progressive Party on the LCC between 1918 and 1928. He was made a Companion of Honour in 1933.

Bermondsey Settlement hosted of a range of innovatory work and attracted some significant residents and helpers including Ada Salter, Alfred Salter and Grace Kimmins. The settlement finally closed in 1969.

Hector Ormano is a fictional boxer from track 12 of the album The Gay Parade by Of Montreal. Track 12 is entitled My Favorite Boxer. The song is narrated by a man idealizing Hector Ormano and later describing his unfortunate encounter with the boxer. In the first few verses the narrator introduces Hector as being strong and successful. Toward the end of the song, the narrator describes his encounter with the boxer; the narrator was sitting on a bride when coincidentally Hector and his entourage pass by. In his excitement, the narrator gets tongue tied in his efforts to praise the boxer. Hector perceived that as weakness and proceeded to throw a stick at the narrator's head. In the final verse we find that the narrators father thinks that the narrator is a wimp compared to Hector which may explain the narrator's initially idealization of the cruel boxer.

Es un importante político argentino, segundo hijo de un agricultor salteño Felipe Wayar y de una madre maestra aria Teresita Diaz. Es desde el 2003 el actual vice-gobernador de la provincia de Salta.

Ha sido elegido por el pueblo en distintos cargos, y ha sido intendente de Cachi, en Salta. Es candidato a la gobernación de la provincia de Salta en las elecciones para gobernador de 2007.

Curso sus estudios primarios en la Escuela "Victorino de la Plaza" en Cachi y tuvo que viajar a Salta para cursar los secundarios Escuela "Justo José de Urquiza" - Salta Capital. Inicio sus estudios terciarios en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Salta hasta que debió partir a Córdoba para cumplir el Servicio Militar en la Aeronáutica. Luego de la cual comenzó a trabajar la finca de su padre en Cachi, siendo productor de pimientos. Junto a grupo de agricultores fundo la Cooperativa de Agrícola del Valle Calchaquí, llego a ser un sustento económico y social muy importante para todo los pueblos del valle calchaquí, juntando a productores de la zona. Esta casado con Claudia Cornejo, con quien tiene tres hijos. Trayectoria Política

Desde muy chico, en su casa, recibió instrucción política de su padre que había sido Diputado y su madre Senadora. Wayar comenzó a militar desde muy joven en el Partido Justicialista de Salta, siendo Congresal Provincial, Congresal Nacional, Vicepresidente Primero del Partido Justicialista de Salta.

En 1984 con apenas 24 años fue designado Intendente de Cachi, convirtiéndose en el intendente mas joven del país, ejerciendo ese cargo hasta 1987, para luego ser electo Diputado y posterior senador por el Departamento de Cachi, en Salta.

Como senador con apenas 35 años, asumió como tercera autoridad de la provincia siendo Vicepresidente Primero de la Cámara de Senadores de la provincia de Salta. [[2]]

Esto le llevo a recorrer toda la provincia y cada pueblo conociendo a su gente y a sus necesidades.

En 1995 se convirtió en el vicegobernador de la provincia como compañero de formula de Juan Carlos Romero y en el presidente natural del Senado, como lo establece la Constitución salteña. Wayar desempeña ese cargo hasta la actualidad, cuando transcurrieron once años del gobierno más exitoso de la historia de Salta, que recibió el apoyo permanente de los salteños en las urnas cada vez que hubo una instancia electoral desde ese 1995.

En 1997 resultó electo convencional constituyente en representación del departamento de Cachi, y presidió el Bloque Justicialista en el marco de la una Asamblea Constituyente que introdujo –en 1998- numerosas modificaciones y mejoras a nuestra Carta Magna provincial, modernizándola y poniéndola a la altura de las circunstancias políticas que viven el país y este mundo globalizado en el que estamos insertos.

Walter Wayar sabe que la provincia no es una isla. Sabe que Salta está dentro de un país que tiene grandes dificultades y que, si bien es federal según la Constitución y los discursos de todos los presidentes de la historia argentina, en los hechos es unitario y centralista, lo que le trajo grandes dificultades al norte, que padece de problemas estructurales que implican nada más y nada menos que pobreza.

Sabe también que en estos once años se hicieron muchas cosas en la provincia que lograron cambiarla, ponerla a la altura de los tiempos modernos y transformarla en un eje en la región y un ejemplo para otros estados provinciales.

Además, con el esfuerzo y el acompañamiento de todos los salteños y una administración eficiente, ordenada y enérgica, Salta se ganó en el respeto en la Argentina y el reconocimiento en los distintos foros internacionales, y lo que es más trascendente mejoró notablemente la calidad de vida de la mayoría de sus habitantes.

Pero Walter también sabe que falta mucho por hacer, especialmente en la planificación de la Salta de las próximas décadas, por lo que está trabajando intensamente, con responsabilidad y seriedad, en el plan de gobierno que pondrá a consideración de los salteños durante la campaña electoral de 2007.

Flavia knew that Nubia was used to the dry desert heat, not damp Italian winters. And this winter was particularly damp and cold.

Everyone blamed the weather on the volcano which had erupted at the end of August.

Flavia's nurse Alma said it was just laziness: 'They'll be blaming Vesuvius for everything that happens over the next twenty years,' she had grumbled. 'I've known colder winters.'

But Nubia obviously hadn't. She was still shivering.

'You should wear more than one tunic,' said Flavia, putting her arm round Nubia's shoulder and rubbing briskly. 'Like the divine Emperor Augustus. He used to wear five tunics in the winter.'

'Yes. I will do that.'

'And we'll go to the baths later,' promised Flavia. 'After we've been to the market.'

'Good,' said Nubia. 'I will sit in the steamy sudatorium.'

Flavia laughed. Nubia had learned most of her Latin through listening to Virgil's Aeneid and she still tended to use a poetic turn of phrase.

A loud knocking on the front door brought Scuto to his feet and Nipur in from the garden. They skittered across the study and into the atrium.

Flavia heard Caudex grumbling in the peristyle, so she called out, 'We'll get it, Caudex!'

Leaving the blanket on the chair, she and Nubia went into the atrium and past the rainwater pool to the oak door with its heavy bolt. Scuto and Nipur were scrabbling at the wood. They could smell their friend Tigris on the other side.

The door swung open to reveal two boys and a puppy standing in the shelter of the porch. They were dripping wet and their breath came in excited white puffs.

'Just come from shopping in the forum...' Jonathan, the taller of the two, suffered from asthma. 'You'll never guess... what happened!' he gasped. 'The whole town is... talking about it! Ship from Alexandria... delayed by storms... carrying animals for the games...'

Lupus - the younger boy - was making marks on a tablet, nodding as he wrote. He had no tongue and a wax tablet was his main form of communication.

'Animals... ' Jonathan was leaning on the door frame. 'Wild, ravenous beasts... the lion knocked the trainer... off the gangplank and... all the animals escaped!'

'A lion?' breathed Flavia. She and Nubia exchanged wide-eyed looks.

'Other animals, too...' Jonathan was still breathless.

'What animals?' asked Nubia.

'You tell them, Lupus,' gasped Jonathan.

This was the moment Lupus had been waiting for.

He held up his wax tablet and Flavia squealed as she read what he had written:

  Some people would argue that global warming is indeed man-made. How they support

this fact is by stating that humans alone spew out about 70,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) every day. That way, they say, humans are throwing it out at a rate of about 490,000 tons per week. This is the modern ratio. However, they fail to mention how carbon dioxide IS a greenhouse gas. They only say that it is. In truth, it is not a greenhouse gas. The truth is that we exhale carbon dioxide at an enormous rate every day. The scientists against our beliefs of a naturally warming globe are saying that we are producing it as a by-product of our gasoline-run cars, our coal- burning energy plants, our smoke-stacked factories, etc. First off, the only by-product of a gasoline-run engine is carbon MONOXIDE, a gas people only think is harmful because if you breathe ENOUGH into your lungs, is with fill them and your bloodstream with that gas instead of oxygen. The truth about that is that you would have to be constantly breathing this gas in with no hints of small breaks to breathe oxygen instead anywhere. The only way one can actually suffocate by this gas is by litterally breathing in almost 25 liters of it into your lungs. That would be the equivallent of breathing in almost 12 1/2 party-sized soda bottles filled with it. Secondly, carbon DIOXIDE is a natural-forming gas that is only partially lethal to humans (the same way that CO is). It occures everywhere on our planet, from bacteria to humans. Animals exhale it, bugs produce it, bacteria produce it, but the fact that is most important of them all is that trees take it in! Why would trees suddenly evolve to breathe in a man-made gas that is apparently disintegrating the atmosphere?

[edit] How CO₂ actually effects the globe

  When humans exhale carbon dioxide, it comes out as a vapour, because that is its state at

room tempurature, a gas. Since it is warmer than the air around it since it has been in our bodies, however, it simply floats all the way up to the atmosphere where it stays. It is a large portion of the gases that make up the one gas, ozone. If it were not for the ozone, the light from the sun's rays would be so unbearable that humans might either die out of melenoma (skin cancer) or would have to evolve all over again to withstand it. Ozone is like a shield. It keeps what we want inside the atmosphere in, and what we don't want out. Some of the sun's rays are too hot and penetrate right through the ozone with little resistance. But they are severely dumbed down so that the UV rays (utra violets, melenoma-causing rays) are less intense. A little less than half of the rays simply are reflected off by the ozone and sent somewhere else into outer space.

Graphs show that whenever temperature goes up, the carbon dioxide follows.

Due to the sun's rays being so much stronger, the temperatures have gone up, leaving an eight hundred year gap between them and the carbon dioxide level. As a result, the temperatures will increase until the carbon dioxide level finally decides to follow.

The reason why the carbon dioxide levels go up after temperature is because of the ocean. The plankton living under the sea are accountable for almost 70% of the CO_{Subscript 2} levels on earth. It is a scientific fact that when water is cooler, it holds more gas than when it is warmer. Therefore, when the water warms at a slow rate because of the sun, it starts it evaporate, but in those molecules there are traces of carbon dioxide. Once the water vapour hits the atmosphere the carbon dioxide is realesed. Therein lies the cause for global warming. Many scientists believe that global warming will be an endless cycle of temperatures rising and falling back down again. They also say that our generation of global warming will soon come to pass very quickly.

McSquizzy is the fun, witty, Scottish squirrel depicted in the movie Open Season. This small, but awesome, squirrel makes fun of all the characters in the movies, especially Boog and Elliot. Shorthand naming system for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's) that was put forward in 1980 by Ballschmiter and Zell.[1]

Polychlorinated biphenyls are a class of chemical compounds in which 1-10 chlorine atoms are attached to a biphenyl backbone. Due to the fact that both benzene rings are identical, chlorine atoms can be arranged in various different ways giving the rise of many PCB congeners. According to the Polya's isomer enumeration theorem, 209 different congeners are possible. For example, there are 3 possible isomers for monochloro biphenyl, 12 dichloro-, 24 trichloro isomers etc.

The full chemical notation for these 209 possible PCB congeners is rather inconvenient, hence shorthand notation is widely appreciated. In this notation, each of the 209 PCB congeners is given a sequential number (from 1 to 209) that identifies each congener simply and precisely. For example, the three monochloro biphenyl congeners 2-chlorobiphenyl, 3-chlorobiphenyl, and 4-chlorobiphenyl are given BZ numbers 1, 2, and 3 accordingly. The BZ 209 is given to the fully chlorinated decachloro biphenyl which is the last of the congeners.

Because of the differences in naming conventions, a few of the congener numbers were in dispute between Ballschmiter and IUPAC.[2] However, by 1993, these minor discrepancies have been harmonized. Nowadays the Ballschmiter-Zell system of PCB shorthand notation has been recognized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (in 2003)[3] and is the generally accepted notation used by scientists who perform congener-specific PCB research. This notation has been extended to other widely studied environmental contaminants with similar structural properties - polybrominated diphenyl ethers.

GCCMVS is a freely available C compiler for the IBM mainframe operating system MVS. GCCMVS is a modification (a "patch") to the standard GCC C compiler, version 3.2.3 , which is part of GNU Compiler Collection. The GCCMVS compiler reads C source and produces System/370 assembler source as output. You then use any of several available IBM mainframe assemblers to compile the assembler source and link your program into a load module for execution. In the final link step, you need to combine your C program with a suitable C run-time library; usually the public-domain PDPCLIB library is used. Instead of a real IBM mainframe, you can use the freely available MVS 3.8 operating system running under the Hercules emulator. Hercules can run on a Windows or Linux machine. Variations of GCCMVS also exist for the IBM VM (operating system) (GCCCMS) and the MUSIC/SP operating system (GCCMU). GCCMVS can be run either as a cross-compiler (for example under Windows or Linux), or as a native compiler under MVS.

Equality in the Workplace? DID YOU KNOW that the average ratio of men to women on pay day is for every $1.00 men get women get $0.66? Where’s the justice! Although 33 cents doesn’t sound like much, it adds up to where if a man earns $500,000 a year a woman earns $330,000, just because there a woman? This is sexism.

Sexism in extreme form is also known as "misogyny", which means "hatred of female a sexually defined group. " The term 'sexism', in common fyhhg usage, usually implies "sexism against females", since this is the first form of sexism that has been commonly identified. This is shared against women personally and work wise.

Equality in the workplace is a concept that is still of great importance in society today. Many modern women of current times do not necessarily see this rhb importance. Women have come so far since the suffrage movement, but the fight is clearly not over. The inequality in the workplace for women still exists due to the lack of effort by young women to make a change, the post feminism attitude embraced by both men and women, and the age old discrimination problem.

In addition, women today face the dtv equality battle alone, whereas in the past, women banded together as a group to fight for their rights. I feel many women seem to just accept the inequality and not voice any concern or disgust with the injustice.

There are a lot of programs to help fight discrimination aginst tom women such as The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women This Convention will oversight is the task of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), which is made up of 23 experts on women's issues from different UN member states. The Committee's members, described as "experts of high moral standing and competence in the field covered by the Convention." This committee meets twice a year to review reports on compliance with the convention's provisions that the signatory nations are required to submit every four years.

The CEDAW has had mixed feelings for statements seen by some as promoting extreme feminism. Particularly referenced is a 2000 report which rej said that in Belarus, "the Committee is concerned by the continuing prevalence of sex-role oversimplified and by the reintroduction of such symbols as a Mothers' Day and a Mothers' Award, which it sees as encouraging women's traditional roles." These requests are seen by Concerned Women for America, anti, Equal Rights Amendment or, comparable national legislation.

In the workplace, there are also other descrimansies such as disability, sexual, orientation, religion, race, and age. Rebekah was born in January a third daughter to her father, and the third child to her mother. She grew up in a normal household during the first few years of her life, but at a very young age her mother died of Breast Cancer. It was just her, her sister, and her father for a year or so before he met his soon to be "wife". With that wife came many more siblings, making 12 total. At a young age she wanted to work with animals, but soon learned of how difficult it would be being around such sadness. Many more events such as this lead her to dark thoughts and feelings. At 14 she decided to secretly become a Taoist. With a new spirit in her, she began to write. Her main works were stories, but a few poems fell in. The most popular was "Christina", published in 8th grade. Recent works have been "Hell's Fire", a terrific story about life and death that teaches a great many lessons. Though her career choice is in the culinary field, her Bekah's real dream is to become a writter.

Austin D. is a very talented young man. He is cool and has over a hundred friends. He plays basketball, football, manages a JV baseball team called the Covenant Eagles. Austin D. would like to recognize all the kids that go to The Covenant School and all of the staff there. Austin D. has very good grades and goes to Covenant. He has been wishing to get on this sight for 8 years and he loves WIKIPEDIA! so please don't reject this!
