DALLAS, TX — The former president of SUN Sports & Entertainment, Inc., who departed on March 7, 2008 after a year at the Mixed Martial Arts promoter of Art of War, has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against SUN Sports & Entertainment, Inc., SUN Management Group, Inc., and Titan Securities of Dallas., claiming he was forced out of his job for questioning financial irregularities within the company, deceptive press announcements and what he believed was a huge conflict of interest by Titan executives.
Art of War Undisputed Arena Fighting Championship (Art of War) is a U.S.-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organization. The Art of War is headquartered in Dallas, Texas and is owned and operated by SUN Sports & Entertainment, Inc. It is not related to Chinese MMA promotion Art of War Fighting Championships.
Art of War had its first fight on March 12, 2007 at the American Airlines Center in front of over 6,000 attendees. Art of War 2 took place May 11, 2007 in Austin, Texas. The first pay-per-view Art of War 3 took place on September 1, 2007 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The main event featured former UFC fighters Jeff "The Snowman" Monson and Pedro "The Rock" Rizzo. Rizzo won the fight via third round TKO. The fight was distributed by American Television Distribution and aired on Events iN Demand and Dish Network.
