Arnold Schlaet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arnold Schlaet (1859 - 1946) was a U.S. oil industrialist; with Joseph S. Cullinan he co-founded Texaco Incorporated in 1902. Schlaet was an investor from New York who worked for H.P. Lapham and Co., managing that company's petroleum interests. Naturally conservative, he was nevertheless impressed with Cullinan's plans, and helped him to gain capital to start a new venture.
