[edit] Notability

A Google search on "Argus software" turns up 724 unique hits, however perhaps only half refer to real estate software; the rest tie to several other unrelated software packages[1][2][3][4][5][6] with the same name:

I found no reliable media references in the first 100 hits that would establish notability.

do a job search for any real estate position (not residential or residential mortgage brokers).

Just about any job description on monster, hotjobs, etc for real estate finance, or real estate investment banks require it.

Any office building sold by a broker has an "Argus run" on CD or via e-mail.

Its as much of a requirement for someone entering real estate as being able to use a Bloomberg terminal is for someone entering finance.

Agreed. You basically can't work in commercial real estate without knowing it. I've been teaching it for years; it's an industry requirement.
