Argenton-l'Église is a village and commune in the Poitou-Charentes région of western France. It is located some 9km north-west of Thouars, and 36km north-east of Bressuire.
The commune of Argenton-l'Église is within the département of Deux-Sèvres and the arrondissement of Bressuire. It is divided between the canton of Argenton-les-Vallées and the second canton of Thouars.[1]
Besides the village of Argenton-l'Église, the commune also includes the village of Taizon, which is situated on the River Thouet some 2.5km to the east.
