In recent years, many resident of the 845 area code, particularly young people, have begun to "rep" the 845. Many individuals consider is to be the equivalent of "repping ones hood", or a nationalistic type of pride in there area code. Specifically residents of Carmel, NY. (a town in the 845) have created a clothing line by the name of "kig". pronounced "K.I.G.", this group has created a fairly successful clothing line that truly "reps" the 845.

You do know that pretty much every area code does that? I rep the 845 because I live there but any area code that has people who understand what "reppin" is are gonna have people reppin it (like the 313, etc)... it's not just an 845 thing —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.84.66.81 (talk) 13:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
