The Mountain Sandwort (Arenaria groenlandica), or Greenland Sandwort of northeast North America and Greenland, is a small mat forming alpine plant in the family Caryophyllaceae, related to the mountain sandwort of the European Alps, Arenaria montana.
Its characteristics include white flowers with 5 petals, and opposite, narrow leaves about 1/4 inch long. It is one of the few alpine plants to flower through the summer season.
