Ards was a constituency in the Northern Parliament which existed from 1929 until 1973. It consisted of the town of Newtownards, the Ards peninsula and the town of Donaghadee. [1] It was one of eight single member constituencies which replaced the former eight member Down constituency

- 1929: Henry Mulholland, Ulster Unionist Party
- 1945: Robert Perceval-Maxwell, Ulster Unionist Party
- 1949: William May, Ulster Unionist Party
- 1962: William Long, Ulster Unionist Party
Notes:
- Mulholland was Speaker of the House of Commons from 29th May 1929 until 25th May 1945.
- May died during his time in office and his seat was vacant at dissolution.
- In 1969, Long signed the pledge supporting the Prime Minister, Terence O'Neill.
