Anita Kanwar has been an Hindi film actor, who has appeared in many acclaimed films as well as Buniyaad,one of the mega soap.
An alumnus of National School of Drama New Delhi, 1978 batch, she is most known for her roles in Mahesh Bhatt's film Janam (1985), as 'Lajjo ji' in India's first big soap opera Buniyaad (1987), and Mira Nair's Salaam Bombay! (1988) for which she was nominated for a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. She also acted in Thoda Sa Rumani Ho Jaye. She currently lives in Gurgaon near Delhi. [1]
