[edit] Speedy deletion of Health and Diet in Elizabethan England
A tag has been placed on Health and Diet in Elizabethan England, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a1.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Spryde 13:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

I came across your article Health and Diet in Elizabethan England whilst clearing out the candidates for speedy deletion. While your enthusiasm for helping Wikipedia is excellent, I think perhaps the article does not belong on Wikipedia as a separate article. I think it would be best if the information were merged into Elizabethan era as a section. Additionally, please remember to edit in an encyclopedic manner - "What did they eat? Food." is not appropriate writing for an encyclopedia article. Please cite your sources in the text (Wikipedia:Citing sources can show you how) in order to increase verifiability, a main principle of Wikipedia. Finally, do not sign your contributions to Wikipedia. The fact that you have contributed is recorded in the article history, and therefore does not belong in the main text of the article. ♠PMC♠ 17:59, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Advice I think the article might do, as you've been expanding it; I don't really agree with the previous comment-- I think the topic by itself is easily enough for at least one article--there have been books written on individual aspects of it. It depends what you make of it. But it really needs better references: The web sites you've mentioned are not published sources: you need actual articles from magazines and information from published books--any librarian should be able to help you find them. As minor points, next time you do an outline, just leave the sections empty till you get to them, putting in just the word "food" gives the first impression that you intend to write no more than that--I know that sounds silly, but we get hundreds of such silly articles a day. Good luck with it. DGG (talk) 21:34, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Bulconic.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Bulconic.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 19:45, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 20:10, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[edit] Image tagging for Image:Barleybread.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Barleybread.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Whitebread.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Whitebread.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:46, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Doctor.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Doctor.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:12, 9 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 05:12, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
