I'm Premeditated Chaos, or PMC. (PMC_x on IRC; also, User:PMC is a doppelganger of mine) I live in Vancouver, Canada. I'm female, just to clear up any confusion. I'm part of the evil cabal that rules Wikipedia, and I'm coming to eat your soul. Nah, just kidding. I'm only vaguely active, although lately I've been doing more and more here. I consider myself "old school" - I've been editing since...November 23, 2003, and I was made an admin about a year later. I miss RickK and Redwolf24 - they were excellent editors, and were definitely my idols as administrators. We need more people like them - willing to go beyond established procedures when necessary, but always knowing when to stop. I'd eat moldy cheese to see them back with us. As of today, I have made approximately a lot of edits. I lost count awhile ago of how many articles I've started or rewritten. I'm a mergist, but I favor deletion when merging isn't possible. I think PROD is the best thing to come about in years. Speaking of deletion, "listcruft" is a valid reason for deletion, and here's why - Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. So yes, I vote delete on articles that are listcruft, and I vote it with pride. Essays that every editor should read: WP:BEANS, WP:BIKE, WP:TIGER, WP:BITED, WP:PANDA, WP:CABAL, WP:SPIDER, WP:HORSE, WP:HOLE, WP:SNOW, WP:IAR, WP:ROUGE, WP:SPAMHOLE. My views on blocking and banning generally follow this quote of User:Coelacan's: "An indef block represents my appraisal that the net effect of [a given editor, originally User:Kirbytime] is more trolling than benefit." So, if the net effect of a user is more annoyance than benefit, just block 'em. One final note - if you need me to retrieve any data from a deleted page, I will do so, providing it isn't private information, libelous, in violation of copyright, or anything else that should stay deleted. Milestones: At some point, my two-thousandth edit was to Osama (film), which I created specifically as my 2000th edit, but due to the way that deleted contribs don't get factored into edit counts, it's actually more like the 1950th or so. Which is mildly disappointing, because I rather wanted my milestone to be interesting. |
