[edit] Cleanup request

Added top boy's school consistency and awards part in the introduction. It is vital to express such information because it gives people the first impression of the schools, similar to that of RI or RGS. And yes, this article needs severe cleanup.

This entire article is in a terrible state. It is incoherent, messy and totally disinformative. Anyone wants to clean it up properly? The Fascist 14:26, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree, there seems to be a lot of propaganda inside. --Terrancommander 17:53, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Propaganda is intrinsic to ACS(I) - this from an old boy  ;)

I've more or less toned down the bias in the article. Is it acceptable now? Ariedartin JECJY Talk 12:43, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Needs to be cleaned up and all the ACSI propoganda to be gone for good. --Terence Ong (T | C) 13:06, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Right'o. After my common tests, sure. :) Ariedartin JECJY Talk 13:34, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
In my opinion, the clean-up has made the article (more) disjointed, (more) unreadable and totally disgusting. Readibility is more important than the presence of the "propaganda" that we worry so much about. The Fascist 09:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your most frank opinion. Unfortunately, your opinion does not run along Wikipedia policies of WP:NPOV. Readability plays second fiddle to the neutral and informative nature of a true encyclopedia. But of course, even short articles can be quite readable, like Squier Stratocaster, so I contend that point as well. Ariedartin JECJY Talk 12:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
How can you get information if you aren't able to read it?The Fascist 13:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
I already told you: the information is readable. I acknowledge there are deficiencies in content like architecture and systems, but that does not compromise the readability of it. Furthermore, this is an encyclopedia, not a advertising agency. Please read the policies of Wikipedia before you make any further comment. Ariedartin JECJY Talk 04:24, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Cleaned up spelling mistakes, made some dividers in "achivements". Dga471 08:47, 12 February 2007 (UTC) Deleted some unappropriate, boasty bits in article - this article is overloaded with achievements! Take a look at, for example the Raffles Institution article, it has got much more information about the school itself! Dga471 09:15, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pictures

in bad need of pictures is this page! Chensiyuan 12:02, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

anyone's got the shot of the (iconic IMO) slope leading up to the clock tower? Chensiyuan 06:40, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
I do have in my computer, I have some pics taken when assembling there for the Methodist Walk. Just too lazy to sort them out, cos I took a lot. XD Terence 06:55, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Aww come on, fish it out for the greater good! lol Chensiyuan 14:05, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Or if you need some other impetus, consider Raffles Institution who's got a ton of pics! Chensiyuan 13:26, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Okay there're some on commons but I've also added a couple here. Anyone's got a couple on the inside of the original compound? Chensiyuan 05:11, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sports

something needs to be said of the swimming and badminton streaks. water polo was strong too, and track/squash/tennis in flashes. anyone got the details? archives? Chensiyuan 12:01, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

on second thoughts maybe championships won pre-1986 will not be considered ACS (I) achievements... Chensiyuan 12:31, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Okay made a list to be filled/expanded. Where possible source(s) would be fantastic. Chensiyuan 12:18, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Academic
