You've experessed interest in this article in the past; I marked it as a speedy delete as spam, another editor ameliorated that to a prod tag, and now the same editor you suspect has a COI has removed the prod tag. Want to nominate it for an AfD? --Orange Mike | Talk 16:24, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Slashes and so on
Hi. Just a quick note to say the I moved the page you created at User:AndrewHowse\Customer tiering to User:AndrewHowse/Customer tiering (with a slash rather than a backslash), which makes it a subpage of your user page, rather than somebody else's user page (admittedly one with a rather unlikely spelling...). Cheers --Pak21 (talk) 15:52, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Meat Loaf: In Search of Paradise
Hello. I just saw your comment regarding "Meat Loaf: In Search of Paradise", to "Disambiguate Independent to Independent film using popups". I'm new to wikipedia and would find it helpful if you could explain this change you made to the entry. Thanks! --Kc1981 (talk) 21:33, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
UPDATE: Thanks for the explanation - I agree the word "independent" should be linked to 'independent film' specifically. Thanks for the clarification!!! Kc1981 (talk) 17:52, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Good wording
good fair wording at the nom for Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Bart_Hendrikx. I dont know enough to comment there, but you've handled the COI matter just right. I hope other people learn from you to do likewise. DGG (talk) 18:53, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Independence (disambiguation)
I have reverted your redirect to Independent. There was little overlap between the two pages (which I have fixed) and a huge amount of information was lost. I found out what had happened when I was looking up places called Independence and all those had been culled. Please be more careful in the future. TerriersFan (talk) 16:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- My view remains just to leave things be. However, since you are set on changing things I am formulating a proposal that I'll put to you later (real life has intervened). TerriersFan (talk) 16:56, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds like a plan. I'll look out for it. btw if there's good reason to keep 'em separate then that's fine too, but I've been cleaning out links to the Independent dab page and it seems to me that the most common uses are really independence of a country and independent (politician) which isn't on the independence page at present. Plus I seem to recall that there's a WP preference for nouns over adjectives as page titles. Anyway, I'll watch for your proposal. --AndrewHowse (talk) 17:09, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think these is a good policy reason either way; its just a matter of preference. Anyway my suggestion is:
- Put the following on the Independence (disambiguation) page - the definition, the places and a 'for other uses see Independent'.
- Then merge all the other uses into suitable categories on the Independent page.
- If that sounds OK then by all means do it. TerriersFan (talk) 23:17, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Redirecting Full back
Hello. The reason I redirected full back to fullback rather then the rugby page is because (1) the position can be spelled as one word or two words and (2) the position is found in games outside of rugby. We can't assume that the reader is looking for a rugby position and should be redirected to the disambiguation page. --Pinkkeith (talk) 15:08, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- You're right, it was linking to the football (soccer) page, not rugby. I'm not sure what you want me to edit. --Pinkkeith (talk) 15:26, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I understand you now. I have been trying to create a page in my sandbox and checking to see if the links went to where I wanted them to go. I noticed that full back went to a football page, so I tried fullback (I have seen it spelled either way) and it went to that disambiguation page. I'm willing to bet some of the articles with full back don't mean to go to fullback (football), but I'll take a look at it. Wikipedia is so time consuming. You can start one project and then get side tracked with another. --Pinkkeith (talk) 15:59, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, I got it, cut and paste works wonders! I noticed some working on American football pages have been redirecting to the incorrect fullback, just like I did. --Pinkkeith (talk) 16:06, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Polytechnic University
hi, I've "undo" your removal of John Gilbert. The University claim him being the inventor of teflon http://www.poly.edu/inventions/gallery.php# —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikinerd01 (talk • contribs) 17:57, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think it actually says John Gilbert conceived of applying Teflon to pots and pans, not inventing Teflon per se. I've modified and sourced accordingly. Thanks for pointing this out. --AndrewHowse (talk) 19:41, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

William Todd Mason
Hi, I see from your AfD tag for William Todd Mason that the article was already deleted under AfD. My apologies, you can of course request speedy deletion as a previously deleted article (G4), but if you've already set up the AfD, that will probably be the outcome. --Canley (talk) 01:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

independent productions
About the template on the indie page, its ok to remove, i can make the title non linkable, and place a link only to the culture category! 2 days ago i made a page caleld "independent productions" but peolpe said that it wasnt okay, but i didnt understand why! but i have an idea! we could enter the redirect page about the word indie, copy the content about indie in artistic and paste it on a article called "Inde (Arts)" and all the following links we put there to!!!!! what do you think? --Ogat (talk) 19:06, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oops! Sorry about posting a message on your main page, i forgot to use the talk pages!! About the main article of the template, i think i would do that thing that i suggest above! Then, the disambiguation page will be clear again!!! I just made this template to reunite in just one place various articles that have this ideia in common!! Those things that you said about sources of research, is apllied more in the case of articles right? Single Templates dont need to have a cited source, right??? --Ogat Undrt Frodl Odstrk (talk) 23:35, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Here look: Independent Production i just copy the content about the topic in the page indie and paste it in the main article!! Them, in the future, someone can improve it!
Why did you suggest that the entry for Dan Besse be deleted?
Denelson83 told me that ou had recommended that the Dan Besse entry be deleted since it wasn't notable enough. Dan is a current City Councilmember for the 4th largest city in North Carolina and one of the Democratic candidates for Lieutenant Governor. The other candidates are listed and the entry is referenced from other Wikipedia pages and outside sites. Why did you recommend its removal? Also, why didn't this go through the normal deletion process?

Generous-- hah, only because I quell my initial reactions
thanks for your note. Hope you don't mind I struck the warning. The talk page note they left sounded indignant enough to be sincere. I thought they sounded sincere and pointed the way to doing things the right way. This was the same account that edited the deleted article. Maybe they really believe this guy is right up thee with Hobbes. You never know for sure how anyone will respond. Hope for the best, and if they are unamenable to education, then we have other ways to prevent "unconstructive edits. "I have little hope for the "political scientist" article. You Me At Six
I removed the CSD tag from the article because the band had a #2 hit in the UK, which would mean the band meets WP:BAND. If you think the article needs to be deleted, I'd suggest an AfD for it. Wildthing61476 (talk) 01:52, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Didn't realize that with regard to the chart, thanks for telling me that. Though I'm not an admin, I'm not sure if the page would be speedy deleted. Like I said, I think an AfD might be the trick. I'll be honest I'm on the fence with delete/keep, but it's not a clear-cut speedy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wildthing61476 (talk • contribs) 02:00, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I could not figure the reason for roll back on the Manipulation article? Is it for cleanup? I do not have a lot of formal knowledge on the subject, but I thought the same could be a good start. Looking forward to the revised version (if the roll back is for the cleanup).

I just did, I am a bit confused, any further reason to not consider further discussion on the matter? It is really difficult to find more information on the matter in the web (in a comprehensive fashion) that combines religious, scientific as well as prevailing psychological pinning’s for the novice. In general the search on Manipulation on web gives only a very narrow result in the context of Pathological and highly negative interpretations of the subject. My hope was, that the content can lead to updates from other users and further discussion on the matter to arrive at a more cohesive interpretation.
-Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deepak.agr (talk • contribs) 18:51, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's not what Wikipedia is for. Material must be sourced and verifiable. The process you describe has some merit, I'm sure, but this is not the forum for that activity. --AndrewHowse (talk) 19:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
