Andhra Pradesh cricket team

The Andhra cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team representing the coastal areas of the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is, one of two teams representing the people of Andhra Pradesh, the other team being the Hyderabad cricket team, which mainly represents the city of Hyderabad.
It has never featured in a Ranji Trophy final and has therefore never had a chance to participate in the Irani Trophy. In the 2006/07 season Andhra achieved 2 wins out of 7 in the Elite Group of the Ranji Trophy, missing out of the semi-finals. It falls under the South Zone of Indian cricket.
