[edit] Deleted mention of "fellowships" on ACS page

In the U.S., being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons has nothing to do with fellowships. They are totally different concepts - perhaps in other countries it's different. A fellowship is advanced training one pursues after completion of basic residency in order to specialize in a sub-area of a medical field, and yes, people in these programs are called "fellows," but that has nothing to do with being a Fellow of the ACS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cdelalio (talk • contribs) 14:14, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
