Note that this page used to be "Amdy Faye" and the redirect page "Amady Faye". To ensure the correctly spelled title appeared for the chap in question, I've swapped these over. I will do my best to correct any links/categories and so forth but please help by updating any I may have missed. Thanks. IainP (talk) 22:23, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

Why is it "Amady Faye" - BBC and Yahoo! Sport both list him as "Amdy Faye". 35,000 hits for "Amdy Faye", 10,000 for "Amady Faye". Amady might be his real name, but we should use the more popular name. :) – ugen64 02:28, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Support As a casual football fan (ie no connection to any team he's played for) I'm well used to seeing his name in the press... but always as "Amdy". --Dweller 18:04, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Support - Per the use of his correctly/commonly used name. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (tαlk) 21:34, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Support. There has been confusion over this spelling in the past (BBC used it relatively frequently in the past), especially because Newcastle's own website used to have him listed as "Amady Faye". But now I think it's been cleared up. ugen64 18:53, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
