Amanda was educated at the Royal High School, which is arguably Britain's oldest secondary school[2]. While at school Amanda excelled at Drama, Music and Religious Education.

She then went on to train as an actress at the famous Rose Bruford College, in Greater London, which was where she met Shand. Amanda flourished during her time at Rose Bruford, and received interest from agents before she had graduated.

Amanda's first major role was that of Bet in a touring production of Oliver! for which she received great critical acclaim. Her televisual début was as 'The Girl' in a Doritos advert. [3] However, Amanda's first love has always been the stage where she has performed extensively in both Britain and America, her most famous roles being that of Juliet, in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and Indiana in Shand's groundbreaking new work When Do We Start Fighting?[4], [5]
