Alterna Comics is an American small press comic book publisher. It was founded by Peter Simeti, in February 2006.

Readers are able to purchase the comic books on their site at the "Alterna Store". Alterna Comics does most of their business through self-distribution and currently has comics distributed in comic shops around the United States as well as through indie distributor, DimeStore Productions. They also have PDF files of their comics that can be purchased on Drivethrucomics.com, a site that is similar in design to Itunes, only it is for comic books instead of mp3's.
