Excellent article, Alex.

A few sentences made me pause, and which you should clean up --

  • "Within the local headlines, the Daily Herald is unique in that it has 29 “Neighbor” section zones. "
I don't understand the phrase "within the local headlines".
  • "They look to continue a circulation growth of 19.9% over the past ten years"
"Look to" seems too informal; additionally, it sounds like they are planning to do something in the past, which is illogical.
  • "The Daily Herald daily sections include local and national main news, sports, business, classifieds, and neighbor."
Several things are wrong here. First, you need to spell this out a bit more, explaining what you mean by a "section", and explaining that these categories are either the topic or the name of each section. Secondly, the term "Classifieds" is short for "Classified Advertisements", and "Neighbor" is not a category most readers would understand... can you give it a slighly longer name? Thirdly, the word "business" in this context means "business news", so I don't think you should link to the Wikipedia page defining Business. I would probably add the word "news" to each of these categories except for classifieds.
  • Section Headings. I think you could come up with more precise and descriptive section headings.
