[edit] Environmental Protection Userbox

Hi Alienlifeformz,
Thanks for using the userbox that I created (the one about supporting environmental protection). I'm glad that there're people in the world who care about the environment just as much as I do. Please encourage your friends to put up this userbox if they have accounts in Wikipedia. If you have any questions about environmental protection, please don't hesitate to contact me by wiki.

[edit] Fair use images aren't allowed in user pages

We don't allow fair use images on user pages. That is a violation of Rule #9 of the fair use image rules. All the images listed below will need to be removed from your user page. If you don't understand the problem, you might prefer to ask Durin, an admin that is better at explaining the problem that I am.

[edit] Regarding edits made to Wei Wu Wei

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Alienlifeformz! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bangelfire\.com\/, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 00:19, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedians with articles

Hi there. You are listed at Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles#S. Is that accurate? --Geniac 13:46, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

No. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Sarah_Silverman#.22Sarah_Silverman.27s_profile_on_Wikipedia:_User:Alienlifeformz.22 --Alienlifeformz 04:27, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Link additions

Hey - just a heads-up that you set off the "spam radar" - is there a reason that you're adding links to a particular website to so many articles? RJASE1 Talk 04:24, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the heads up. I wanted to add a Skeptic's Dictionary link to each article Robert Todd Carroll has written. His articles are here: http://www.skepdic.com/contents.html . Is this not acceptable? Thanks! --Alienlifeformz 04:30, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Since all the pages I looked at contain a link to purchase his book from Amazon, it would probably be considered spam - I think inline citing the website would be OK though, but adding in the external links section on so many articles would likely be considered spamming. I'm sure you were acting in good faith, but mass additions of one particular website to multiple articles can be considered bad practice by some editors - see this list, number 5. Drop me a line if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you with citation style. RJASE1 Talk 04:37, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Muscle-FunctionIllust.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Muscle-FunctionIllust.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:09, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

See Robert Todd Carroll. The information is in that article and is sourced. --Alienlifeformz 04:24, 2 July 2007 (UTC) Here's the source: [1] --Alienlifeformz 04:31, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. If you haven't already done it, I'll add it to the article. -- Fyslee/talk 05:06, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
