[edit] things to do

Do we have dates for first performance (the televised one)?

There are some redlinks, are these recognized genres of latin music?

Can we verify that latin grammy? (I added it to the intro as part of notability of this artist but I don't know the if it was awarded in 2004 or 2005, just that it was for a 2004 album).

[edit] Grammy veriable

Go to the Latin Grammy official site and its search page: [Latin Grammy winners] Then type in the album title in the title search box: Cuando el Corazón se Cruza.

You will then see that the album for Best Grupero (Group) album in the Regional Genre, 2004 at the 5th Annual. Ronbo76 08:02, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request citation for comparision of Alicia Villarreal to Selena.

It is very doubtful that at the time of Selena's unfortunate death that music critics pointed to Alicia Villareal as a possible successor. At the time, their styles were very different: Selena was a solo accomplished artist and Alicia Villareal was just coming into her own career as a female singer in a band. Selena's death was very profound - I sincerely doubt and do not remember anyone making a comparision of any then current artist, much less Alicia Villareal. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Alicia. And while now as a solo artist, she may begin to approach Selena's talents, Selena is as per the Spanish word, "inolviable", unforgettable with no comparision. Ronbo76 07:52, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
